Gee that's funny, I do know many people who would give you a 12 hour demo and they just happen to be people who made the biggest PC games of all time. Doom, the Quake series, Unreal Tournament, Diablo 2, most MMOs, the Battlefield series. I could go on.

There have been claims by the developer that FC2 will have 50+ hours of game play, and now they are saying they won't give even 1/5th of that to demo?

This sounds like laziness to me and I am sure in he following months after it's release they'll be crying the game didn't sell well and blame the pirates again without thinking that there was a reason people decided to "demo" the game via usenet and bittorrent

I think if they really want to put their best foot forward offering a demo is a must. If there are some issues offering a because of the way the game is set up, then there are ways around that.

Looks like the real reason PC gaming is dying is arrogance.

Could this be a true sequel to NFS Most Wanted? Let's hope. The last two NFS were cheap interim products that failed to deliver.

Too bad these seems to be the new MO for big publishers and their big franchises. Look at Call of Duty, Battlefield, NFS and GTA, all of these have some half-assed sequels (BF2142, NFS Pro Street, San Andreas) to "hold you over" till the real sequel arrives.

Yay! The first one was a little bit of old school CRPG heaven, I can't wait for the next one.

I'm sure the original owner of Diablo3.com didn't give it for free. He traded it for alpha/beta access to the game and a free copy when it comes out and possibly some other phat D3 loot.

I wish people would stop calling WoW "Diablo 3". It's like comparing monster truck rally to Indy car racing.

Diablo 2 was fast paced with hordes of enemies. To me it combined the classic hack n' slash RPG with the arcade pace of gauntlet which made it insanely addictive.

WoW on the other hand is slow and monotonous. It should be called Everquest 2.5

This myth that PC piracy is destroying the PC gaming platform is as bad as the myth that violent video games lead to crime.

And here we have a developer complaining that their game didn't sell when it will only run on 5 to 10 percent (I'm being real generous) of PCs out there.

That's a great list. I myself would especially love to see Archon on XBLA. And I have fond memories of Patton vs. and Seven Cities.

I made it a point to buy the PC version of CoD4. Why? Because using a control pad sucks. Mouse and Keyboard for life! As long Microsoft refuses to support a keyboard and mouse, you won't see buy any FPS games on the 360.

Microsoft needs to start selling the 160GB HD for 99 bucks and lift the XBLA limit to 250 or 300 megs. The hard drive space problem is only going to get worse as time goes on. The orginal 20 GB drive is already keeping me from buying HD movies and Xbox orginals.

I'll take the 360 version thanks, but it's nice to see it get ported to portable systems (PCs count if they are laptops).

I know the Dynasty Warriors series isn't everyone's cup of tea, but there's a huge following of people that just find mowing down hordes of baddies fun.
