I don't just play along. It would be nice to have the red tag bug fixed, but since it rarely ever pops up, i do not go to internet forums and rants and rave as though the entire game is now completely unplayable, and anyone else who sees other wise is an EAsshole.

What a lot of you don't get is that the bug doesn't just effect the tags but the maps and score board.

Jester, it is not hard to remember the name of that one person on the map with the red tag bug. Really, it isn't at all. Again, it happens so rarely it is not a game killer for anyone that isn't an anal prick.

To ask for more money for something very much like what they gave away for free with bf1942, more maps and a new army, is pretty sketchy but to do so while people are still having major problems is almost insulting.

Jester, sorry, but you are way wrong. Bf42 had TWO expansion packs that you had to buy. Add the two booster packs together, and you have TWO expansion packs for BF2.

BF42 gave a few free maps and even less new weapons. So far, BF2 has given more free weapons and less free maps. There is still free content, and like in BF42(yet everyone forgets) there is content in expansion packs you could buy if you wanted it.

Incase this is so hard for you to get: the booster pack is DONE. They have waited for the 1.21 patch to be finished before releasing it. Not only that, but DICE has two different stupdios. The one in Canada is solely there for booster and expansion packs.

They have also stated, the reason the red tag bug keeps not getting fixed is they can not figure out what exactly is causing it. Common sense should tell you coding a game, and fixing code in a game, is not like snapping your fingers.

There are NUMEROUS games that still have some small little big like the red tag bug that fuck nuts like you constantly bitch and cry about, when in the end it is a very minor problem.

Considering that you would pay $19.99 to $29.99 for an expansion pack with double the amount of the booster pack, yes, it is a good deal as it comes out to the minimum expansion packs are purchased for(two booster packs at $9.99 each)

Anyone who thinks the expansion or booster packs are patches is a fucking moron.

The patches have nothing to with with the expansion or booster packs. They even held back releasing this booster pack to work on the 1.21 patch, which goes against anyone saying they just care about the expansion/booster packs, or they are going to charge you for a patch.

In fantasy they're cool, and if this brought back the kind of gameplay we had in Mechwarrior and MW2 then that would kick ass. But in reality? Mechs are so flawed as to be laughable.

In real life, we do not have HUDs and see all of our teammates on the map and we can not just respawn if killed and.........

Battlefield series gameplay = run, fly, drive around in circles sitting by a flag for 10 secs and move on to the next point, rinse and repeat.

Quake Wars gameplay = run, fly, drive as a TEAM to complete actual OBJECTIVES that require TEAMWORK to complete. Maps have choke points that create conflict.

First, no one has played QW so your write up of the gameplay is pure horseshit.

Second, there is plenty of teamwork on bf2. Try not playing on shitty EA and gay ass clan servers. I highly recommend War Is Hell if you want teamwork.

Third, every game that has teamwork can be played loanwolf-style. It is up to the players to play as a team, if they decide not to there is nothing that can be done.

Sorry, gotta give the most realistic WW2 FPS to wwiionline, though it's a crappy game.

Just watched the trailer. Gotta say many of those maps just do not look fun, with very unnatural looking ground.

After looking into that Unreal 3 engine MMOFPS called Huxley(or somethign similar), I think the U3 engine will really open up MMOFPS genre. WW2OL and planetside just do not cut it.
