I'm still buying this game whenever it comes out, because it looks somewhat original, fun, and interesting. Loooks like it has tons of replayability too. I'd rather they take the time to do it right the first time, then fuck it up personally, even if it means delays, would hate to rush this baby out, it has a lot of potential if it's pulled off right.

Really surprised this made Blues after reading their "forums". Pretty funny stuff, nothing like several thousand pissed off people who you just stole from. I'm pretty sure these guys are going to get class action law suited into the ground, sounds like they are bordering on criminal with mysterious credit charges and burned cd's, etc.

Wow

Totally rubbish. I can't believe I Just spent the last hour downloading a 500 meg rar that just had a folder in it, and no explanation of how to get started. I found some executables in a BIN directory, all of which crashed upon launching. Luckily it included an un-installer for a game which didn't even COME with an installer. Talk about your poorly planned pieces of crap, this doesn't even work. I'll stick with wow thanks.

Why god why

Why must shitty games get sequels.

I wish people would stop buying shitty games, then maybe they would stop making them.

[q]Huh? VUG founded Sierra? Sierra was founded by Ken and Roberta Williams, who later sold it (Cendant/Havas/Vivendi).[/q]

I never said Sierra, I said Dynamix. Sierra bought Dynamix, then Sierra was later sold to VU, which included Dynamix obviously.

[q]The majority of the core behind Tribes development are working for other companies (Garage Games, BraveTree, Eidetic, etc.) on other projects. Unless they got the entire original staff (Mark, Tim, Rick, Nels, Scott, Weston, Clark, etc.) back together, they will never capture what Tribes was. [/q]

Read between the lines and do some research. :-)
Mark, Tim, Rick all work at GarageGames which is in the same building as Bravetree (literally the next office over) where Clark, Joe, Etc Work. Weston still works with GarageGames all the time as a freelance contractor....... When I said the Original team, I meant the original team. There are even rumors floating around TribalWar of a Bravetree aquisition by GarageGames, wether it has any truth or not, no one knows, but we'll know soon. GarageGames has stated repeatedly 2006 will be the year they get back into the games market as they've been itching to get away from being a tech vendor and back into games for a long long time.

As far as Tribes...

Employees of a certain company which was founded by the founders of VU Killed awesome developer Dynamix have been hinting over at TribalWar that they're working on a next-gen Tribes like game (including lead designers and the small team which is still together who created the Original Tribes) which will kick the shit out of anything out of all the same tired old MP based games which we've had to deal with for the last few years. (Oh fucking boy, another battlefield? Another counter-strike clone? Another this or that? Another Unreal XXXX or WW2 shooter?)

Seeing how the people working on it are the same team who made the original Tribes(which was extremely innovative for it's time and has been constantly ripped off since in style and concept, and everything Tribes invented is now stuff we take for granted in MP games...voice commands, gameplay, all that shit)......I have a lot of faith in whatever this title may be (they're being extremely secretive and vague, for obvious reasons....#1) Being ripped off, #2) Tribes players are hard as hell to please!)

Shit I'd just like a game with decent netcode....so many games could of been fun MP, but just have sucked because of horrible netcode...Pariah MP Demo lags over the fucking LAN, and BAD!

Tribes was just put on Gamespots coveted list of the Greatest Games of all Time.

http://www.gamespot.com/gamespot/features/all/greatestgames/index.html

Whatever that's my two cents and rumor dept.
