So we didn't know pre-orders were ACTUALLY the day before than the day they said they were, until an hour after it started, so BB was naturally sold out... But the wife persevered on a slowly loading EB and nabbed one. Whether that turns out to be legit and actually shipped/received in a few months, we'll see : )

Didn't see any launch titles worth jumping on; I thought Horizon was going to be a launch title, but it wasn't in the list, so I don't know... However, I'm more interested in re-playing some PS4 games from an SSD; namely, Bloodborne, which I haven't had the patience to replay since launch because of how slow that thing chugs along. Seems a good time to also play through Horizon, God of War, maybe finally finish Spidey...

Maybe Steam should throw their two cents into this to and Sue EPIC for trying to monopolize the market with the backstabbing bullshit they are doing. I mean in all honestly I think Steam might have a case in this.

This one Doctor, this comment right here...

Geezus... This is Trump level logic there.

$20 on PS4 but $50$ on PC. For a 3+ year old game.

Then go play it on a PS4. Your entitlement to assume that all the time and expense it took the developers to port it over to PC to then sell it on Steam for $20 minus Valve's 30% is foolish. I own it on PS4 but as far as I see it, this is a new game for PC gamers.

Its the same assets. Same story. 99.99% of the game is already done! Why do we have to pay an extra $20 for a old game? PC users getting screwed over just like when PC games jumped to $60 for no damned reason other than "well we milked the console users for an extra $10 why not the PC users too!".

Look, I get it that you're new to gaming, and this is one of the first games you HAVE to pay 'an extra $20' for... But the trend of PC gaming (more quickly than console IMHO), is that the price will drop fairly rapidly. Do what you should be doing for any game... Buy it at the price point that has value for you.

I'll be picking this up, again, when it gets around $20, as it's one of the very rare games I've gone through everything (minus expansion) twice.

The way that email is written implies that Epic is reaching out to recent purchase makers to just throw some money at them... Like, I could, and have, had other stores do this (Future Shop, in Canada, before BB bought them, you could just head up to the Customer Service desk with your receipt and get the difference), but for the company to pro-actively do that is just straight bad business practice heh

Dang it, I told myself I wasn’t going to buy anything until my backlog was reduced, but FarCry 5 for $5 was too much for my weak constitution to handle and I caved.

I ended up using the GTA V awarded sale coupon for New Dawn, Deluxe Version (because it wouldn't work with the cheaper base version)... I thoroughly enjoyed 5 (and Primal, 4, 3), so figured this'd be a good bet finally.

And speaking of GTA V... Anyone know if it's any good? : )

Good luck getting Just Cause 4 to run. Many are getting a "missing DLL file" upon trying to launch the game.

Well that's unfortunate... I tried one of the previous JC games (not sure if 2 or 3), and it felt like an Open World Playground instead of a game, but I was turned off pretty quick, so didn't end up really getting a feel for it.

JC 4 though... I binged the shit out of... Played all day Thursday, half the day Friday and Saturday, focusing on the missions, ignoring the challenges, and enjoyed the process quite a bit. Enjoyed the story, and the voice acting, for the most part.

Had some issues with some of the controls, and it felt like a (so bad) console port at times... Almost just said fuck it and threw it out after fumbling with the menu initially.

And this is why the free games stuff can work... It's a game I would never have bought, but now I'm curious about #5, if that happens... Not like, a launch purchase, but definitely an eventual purchase.

I like this series overall, so it's interesting to see this... Hopefully graphics aren't the only thing they're updating, as the interface could use some love.

My only problem with the series is when someone claimed they loved Crisis, up until the aliens were introduced, because, if they were paying attention, that happens in like, the first mission heh.

I also liked both environments, and ducking under tiny bushes making myself invisible until they wandered within half a foot. And standing still invis to not drain energy, then toggling it off, silenced headshot, toggle on, rinse and repeat.

I've never been into watching sports, but when I lived in San Antonio for a few years, ended up watching some Basketball with some peeps... Tim Duncan was not only an amazing player, he was an amazing (good) sportsman... Really had a lot of respect for that man, so am glad to see his name called out of something like this.

Or maybe we want to choose which store, you know buy from the cheapest one, since the goods are digital there is no quality difference, but of the goods are only sold in one store they can price it however they want as there is no competition which is ofc better for us the customer right? right?

Speaking the truth right here... I am so looking forward to when I can buy Half-Life: Alyx on EGS or GoG or wherever, because Steam's price is going to stay fucking ridiculous for too damn long ; )

Have you tired Girm Dawn?

Yes... Yes I have tired of Grim Dawn...

I want to like this game more. I supported it early on, and I was super stoked the TQ peeps/engine was happening, and while I've played through all the content, it is not replay-endlessly, or grind-to-max game for me... While waiting for PoE, and actually, I'll probably try out S20 in D3, I started up yet another GD character, and just got so bored so quickly. Though, if they release another DLC, I'll probably try that shit out too heh.

For both D3 and PoE though... The regular 'content' and content updates are what keeps bringing me back, even if it's only for a week (D3), or a month (PoE). D3 still feels better than anything else out there, and for S20, I haven't played a Wizard in so long, and never bothered with Hydras, but I like Totem/Turret builds in other games, so will likely give that a go some time in the next month or so (Hopefully after someone friendly has played at max for a bit and wants to PL my ass, because that few-hour part of the Season is boring as shit : ).

Exactly. When I read "the Blizzard we know is dying", my first thought was, 'Ahh, you must be new to gaming.'

This is how I feel about you youngin's that think the decline started with the Activision merger with Vivendi (or even the later purchase of the remainder), that don't also remember the same comments about Vivendi's inclusion into that picture.

Obituary: Live Updates: Kobe Bryant dies at 41.

I wonder, when will shameless articles/opinions start popping up, under the guise of metoo or some other social movement, to undermine the recognition of the life lost in that crash by digging up old news about Kobe and the sexual assault allegation +15 years ago....

Since you brought it up first... Is it really shameless to have an opinion contrary to a shameless act?

What's really shameless, is thinking that his death was more important than all the others lost in that same crash.
