Heh, when I first saw this I thought it was Leonard Nimoy's "Seaman 2".

Sad.

Anyone remember the Monty Python sketches about "Anno-Weet" and "Recto-Puffs"? A lot like the SNL "Colon Blow" sketch.

Can't wait to see how the game works...

um... it's not an RTS. It's turn-based.

Same way your mom warez'd your dad, got knocked up with you, and then returned him? (no reason to replay or keep him!)

"Roberta Williams, you so low you suck earthworm dick."
-Rudy Ray Moore, autographing a Roberta Williams collection at the request of Seanbaby.

Love her or hate her, Roberta Williams was a founding influence in computer games. And she deserves some respect for that. Not a lot, but some.

(and for the record, I really liked phantasmagoria....)

Army of Darkness was rated R.

I remember, I got carded at the door and couldn't get in until I got some guy to buy me a ticket. (amusingly, he was taking his 6-year old)

Screw the alien. It's all about being in the jungle, creeping along slowly.... Oh, a bunch of marines! Leap a couple storeys into the tree, creep along, jump down inside their defensive perimeter.... *kill**kill**jump* Nope, they didn't see me...

In general, I'm pretty accepting of people's kinks.

But this is just fucked.

My brother's a huge fan, so my take is that if you like turn-based strategy games, it's great.

I love this shit.

"oh-so-glorious high morals"

What's so glorious about "don't take what's not yours."

The laws really don't have anything to do with this.

Fundamentally, someone worked hard to make this game, and it belongs to him. He allows other people to use it if they compensate him for his work.

If you use the product without compensating him, then you are using something that isn't yours without permission.

Simple as that.

Didn't most of us learn this right after "don't throw sand"?

If you model characters as points, you could probably use BSP trees for the scene geometry. You might get weird things with characters appearing entirely or not at all when they're peeking around corners, but it would be efficient.

This is all if you're crazy enough to want to do this.

Sort of... except that in your world, a counterstrike server, in addition to managing the state of the game and handling communication with all 32 clients, now has to do a lot of the occlusion processing for each client.

That better be a pretty beefy server.

Wow... just occurred to me, maybe the Microsoft/AMD/Intel Palladium initiative could be used to force the use of authorized drivers while playing a game. Hmm....

It's a toolset-only patch; it doesn't affect the client. 1.20 is multiplayer-compatible with 1.19.
