"In the future, I will be more careful on that and express my opinions or show my support to Hong Kong on my personal platforms."

I can't agree with this. This is just succumbing to political correctness. If someone is trying to spread a message of truth due to some injustice, then you should take advantage of ALL possible platforms to reach as many people as possible. Don't be afraid to speak the truth, even if it's hard for some to hear, that's their problem. Now that he did this, many more know about the situation that otherwise would not. The truth is appropriate everywhere.

I watched this multiple times and to me it doesn't look like "karma" at all. The laughing friend looks to have done it on purpose. The way he runs to it and through it was different than the dude who bounced off.

Haha. Bethesda sees Rockstar announce RDR2 for the PC for November 5th, and they go "NOOOOOOPE" and delay to March 2020.

When like 18 other mainstream AAA titles come out. Clever.

I don't see RDR2 for PC making any difference to this delay at all. The fact that the invasion mode won't even make March 20 2020 delay shows that this game is just not ready. It's not like some small unknown game that needs all the help it can get. This is Doom. This was going to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest for many, games of this year.

If there was a choice between Doom Eternal and RDR2 on PC, I'd bet 9 out of 10 times the choice would go to Doom. RDR2 has been out on consoles for quite a while now and everyone knows it's a slow paced walking sim. Everyone has heard about it being "boring" but good looking. Doom is anything BUT boring and good looking to boot. RDR is NO threat to Doom. Actually, I don't think anything else coming out this year is much of a threat.

Sucks how Doom 64 is tied to Eternal's release. I'd rather pay for it to get it now and then focus on Eternal later.

Diablo 2 Remaster? Day one purchase.

Diablo 4, with MTs and lootboxes, and requiring an internet connection? No thanks.

Well, I think the rose tinted glasses of nostalgia are coloring some peoples' memories of Diablo 2, because that game was a primitive mess in so many ways. Some of the MODS were great though.

Diablo 4 will no doubt be atrocious in terms of modern day video game hassles, I agree.

I still go back to D2 from time to time and in no way is it a "primitive mess." The only bad thing is the low resolution it runs at, but it's not that big of a deal to me. It still looks fine. The game I think still holds up today and is just as awesome now as it was back then. D2 is one of the best aging games I've ever seen.

Ok now.. what about RDR1?!?!? I never played it because it was console exclusive and my friends rant about that game.

Despite the improvements with RDR2, I honestly like RDR1 better. Playing RDR1 on the Xbox One X enhanced is awesome. The game is old but still looks incredible. Even the original, non-enhanced, on the 360 or PS3 it still today looks amazing.

Literally the next sentence is this:

That said, you’ll also be able to pre-download parts of the world to play on when offline.

So it's probably worth waiting to see how that works before writing it off. I wouldn't blame them for streaming assets if it would take some crazy amount of space to store all of it locally. There's no sense in having the whole world map on-hand when most people will probably just stick to flying over their home country or a select few popular places abroad.

Another article I read said all the detail for this game would total 2 Petabytes. As much as I hate a game replying on the "cloud" for assets, for something like this where you want as much real world detail as possible, it makes sense as there's no way a person could have a PC with petabytes of storage at this time.

This shit actually F'ed up my iPad Pro. It was stuck on the apple boot screen for over 6 hours where it would flicker every so often. I'm in the middle of doing a DFU restore right now. Good thing for iCloud backups.

Starting to feel like Windows 10 updates...

WTF are you smoking? The PS4 or PS4 Pro doesn't hold a candle to a gaming PC and the Xbox One X is clearly more powerful. You must be one of those pathetic fanboi Sony ponies.

Oh and the big deal is that it's a mode that a lot of people are interested in yet they pay the same amount for the PC or Xbox version and get less game. They don't get the mode they are interested in until the NEXT CoD is ready to drop.

It's not "rocket science."

One thing I can't stand, which I also see on some webpages, modern OSes and GOG Galaxy 2, is the scroll bars are extremely skinny. Those are so hard to grab. This trend shows that a lot of people these days that are doing UI must have never read a book or taken a class on UI design, an area that's been studied for decades.

I've always thought of Stallman as a bit of a prick, but this latest fiasco makes it clear that he is a raging asshole.

He once said:

"The nominee is quoted as saying that if the choice of a sexual partner were protected by the Constitution, "prostitution, adultery, necrophilia, bestiality, possession of child pornography, and even incest and pedophilia" also would be. He is probably mistaken, legally--but that is unfortunate. All of these acts should be legal as long as no one is coerced. They are illegal only because of prejudice and narrowmindedness."

"I am skeptical of the claim that voluntarily pedophilia harms children. The arguments that it causes harm seem to be based on cases which aren't voluntary, which are then stretched by parents who are horrified by the idea that their little baby is maturing. "

" There is little evidence to justify the widespread assumption that willing participation in pedophilia hurts children.

Granted, children may not dare say no to an older relative, or may not realize they could say no; in that case, even if they do not overtly object, the relationship may still feel imposed to them. That's not willing participation, it's imposed participation, a different issue. "

These are all published on his website. While I understand why some argue context for what he's resigning over, I feel as if these prior comments from him really establish all the context one needs.

Stallman already rubbed me the wrong way due to certain things related to software, but HOLY CRAP. I had no idea he said those things. Only a truly sick and evil individual would have hot garbage like that come out of their mouth. Reading that, to me, makes it pretty obvious he's a pedo himself and is trying to justify it, at least in his sick mind. In reality, there is no justification. The sad and scary thing is, is that there's a ton of people these days just like him. I'm seeing it constantly. They are so consumed by evil, they can't see why immoral acts (the things he mentioned in the first quote for example) are viewed as wrong/immoral. To them it's because others are "narrow minded". WTF. I just don't even...

The whole argument of "anything should be allowed and deemed ok just as long as it doesn't directly hurt anyone else" is so flawed it's not even funny. It's a complete BS perspective. It's this perspective that Stallman seems to live by. And when someone does, eventually it comes back around and bites them in the ass.

Honestly, the farther Stallman can distance himself from the world of computer science the better.

I thought about getting Rage 2 at 50% off during QuakeCon, but from what I hear it doesn't seem like it's worth even that much. I may reconsider when it's 75%+ off. Maybe.

I don't know if this is just for advertisement, but the PC version is being depicted in a big-box like in the good ol days. If that's the case, sign me up. But, I have a feeling there is no box.

If this for PC came in a big box with the game on media and a nice manual, oh man that would be sweet. I miss those days.
