News Comments > Another Wolfenstein Sequel Hint
3. Re: Another Wolfenstein Sequel Hint Oct 19, 2016, 20:45 SirKnight

I think we've had enough Wolfenstein for a while. Need more Quake.

But Wolf is what we are going to get so... Hopefully it'll have a fast and crazy single player like Doom.

I haven't played this in quite a while. But this is a really great game. I've always wanted a fairly realistic medieval game where you play as a knight and this is finally it.

and better than Doom 2016.

I wouldn't go that far, but SW2 is a very good game. There's quite a bit of similarities to Doom though.

The main thing I don't like, and this was true with SW1 too, is the voice of the main character. The original Lo Wang voice I liked so much better.

The game still has that blurry look of it rendering at a low res and then up-scaling. I hate that.

I would love to see an option that does not make the camera reset while driving. That is so annoying I have a hard time driving because of it. So usually I set the view to be on the car where you see the hood.

We haven't had a dynamic soundtrack that good in years, but the closest probably came in this March's surprisingly awesome Doom reboot

Doom's dynamic music is very good, but I think the best dynamic soundtrack is by far Red Dead Redemption. The soundtrack to that game and the way it worked was epic. EPIC.

I kind of forgot about it until 10 minutes before they pulled the plug so I didn't get much time with it. Seemed interesting so far, but hard to get a good opinion about it in only a few minutes of play time.

It was kind of annoying when they pulled the plug (I was in the middle of fighting a group of attackers) the game got stuck in an infinite loop of two different screens back and forth. The only way to exit the game was Ctrl+Alt+Del and End Task.

Enemy design and music are pretty bitchin'. I will definitely have to keep an eye on this one.

I love these old-school graphics and actually prefer it for the most part. As a matter of fact, just yesterday I was playing Wolf 3D (well, Spear of Destiny to be exact).

I'm definitely getting this for both PC and PS4. I <3 me some build engine.

Let's try it again... nVidia should concentrate on making better drivers

Let's try it again... L

I mean come on dude, do you really think they pulled people off the driver to work on something like this? They have entire teams devoted to making demos, working with devs, etc... Always have.

Plus, their drivers are some of the most robust and feature complete you will find for any device, especially GPUs. The competition is far far worse. Of course there will be bugs from time to time. That's the nature of software especially something as insanely complex as a graphics driver. Just open up the code to one of the open source graphics drivers and you'll see. But then again, as engineer myself, I guess I can't expect a random internet moron that constantly goes full retard to understand any of this.

I've had this one on my steam wishlist for a while.

It's funny how back in the early 90's people were freaking out over Mortal Kombat. Then you compare it to something like this today that makes MK look like Sesame Street. LOL

This looks really amazing and I'm glad they went with WW1. It's a war not thought about much especially compared to WW2. And I can't stand the futuristic stuff at all.

Haaated Rage. Invisible walls EVERYWHERE, extremely bullet spongy enemies, worst close up textures I had seen in like 5 years. There were some good things, but it took too many bad decisions for me to be able to enjoy it.

This is true. While there were a few decent things in Rage, it was all overshadowed by the crap.

I recently played Rage again for a little while to compare it to Doom since I haven't played Rage in a long time. After this my view of Rage is a lot more negative than it used to be. Definitely by far the worst id title and I really don't see a sequel ever coming out. I think it would be a waste of id's time to spend years on Rage again.

Anyone who has played the new Doom, go back now and try Rage again, especially if you think you liked it. I guarantee you'll say, OMG this game is terrible!

Looks... promising.

Needs to be faster, though.

Looks just as fast as Quake 3 to me and I have recently played Quake 3 and Quake Live.

This is what the multiplayer for Doom should have been.

I absolutely can't wait for this. I'm still hoping for a singleplayer Quake game at some point though.
