Man, I really wanted to love this game. But it just didn't have the fun factor from the Battlefield games (for me, anyway). Here's hoping they right the ship with the sequel.
I mean, that's why it's a BattleFRONT, not a BattleFIELD, right?
Up front, I've never played a Battlefront, and I've never enjoyed a Battlefield (doing solely 1942, then beta testing another, I think Battlefield 2.)
That said, I agree. From everything I've read, this could have been more complex. It seems like LucasArts and EA were pushing for as many users as possible, but the overlap between gamers and Star Wars fans lies deep, and they could have made a game that appealed to slightly fewer people but to those people much more, as making it less complex didn't really increase the audience range.
Still, though, it says BattleFront. People should have known what they were getting.
