These are just ongoing content seasons. They just added a magic system in the last season that just wrapped up. That's about all I know as I have just started playing this month.
Requires "Epic Online Services" installed even if you play through Steam. 
So, more daily quests? Hooray? I just want this game to die off already so Fallout can get the dev attention it deserves elsewhere.

Come on Blue. It's been 2 years and anytime anyone mentions this game they mention the launch issues. Their stock dove off a cliff, and the entire games journalism industry has made a meme out of it. I think they've got the message by now.
Time to move on.
Total War Warhammer is expensive if you want (and you should) get all 3 games to connect all 3 into the mega-map game. But even far more expensive is the time investment for learning the tactics, strategy and Warhammer lore. But it's worth it.
The mega update last week is labeled as Beta and will be considered Beta for quite a while however if you are waiting for a better time.

Given the track record, this is only a good thing. Maybe better the more it gets pushed back. V2 was a mess on launch, and then they had to backtrack for several months recovering technical debt.
But I need my choice of games validated!
