Yikes that's not very cool. I was kinda interested until hearing this. Battletech was pretty decent. Paradox didn't buy the devs until after Battletech was already released I believe.

I didn't play in earnest until the end of last year. Soviets are extremely fun to me but probably not the most popular.

So far this year, the original developer group was bought out by its publisher, Team 17. Once Team 17 took over, they immediately started actively breaking the game in the name of fixing reload animations. Then came a roadmap, including a brand new in-game store. A new scaled down game mode to appeal to more casual players, upsetting many existing fans of the broad and wide gameplay. "Accidentally" released an infamous trailer which was so mocked they had to delete it, backtrack and apologize(!) Then they did add British faction, but it was horribly implemented and extremely unpopular. In recent months, they seem to be correcting course showing nice looking plans, WIP pics, fixing the British, and general all-around good stuff. And now the layoffs and the CEO with a mobile gaming background is leaving.

Oh and also they started messing around with the perma sprint speed and added dolphin diving, which they have been going back and forth trying to figure out what to do with.

Hoping they can pull Hell Let Loose out of the nosedive. It's starting to level out a little but truly remains to be seen.

But I feel the Mechwarrior audience has been pretty consistently bitchy over the years.
You nailed it.

Going back to Mechwarrior 2 which is awesome but also horrendous at the same time..."Laser bullets" and non-functional autocannons!

I'm glad we finally have punch and melee capability after all these years, even if it might be generally ignored.

"RAZOR 1911" showing up in the hex editor of a game sold on Steam. Hilarious irony.

Tim Cain just briefly discussed an aspect of save scumming and how it can relate to game design in another one of his excellent videos.

Huh. Thought this mmo-coop game was already out? The game is getting a re-release?. Thought this game has been dead in the water for years. Party

These are just ongoing content seasons. They just added a magic system in the last season that just wrapped up. That's about all I know as I have just started playing this month.

So, more daily quests? Hooray? I just want this game to die off already so Fallout can get the dev attention it deserves elsewhere.

Come on Blue. It's been 2 years and anytime anyone mentions this game they mention the launch issues. Their stock dove off a cliff, and the entire games journalism industry has made a meme out of it. I think they've got the message by now.

Time to move on.
Yes nothing to see here, move along now. Don't think anything of the biggest hype flop of gaming. It was 2 whole years ago! Stop it!

Total War Warhammer is expensive if you want (and you should) get all 3 games to connect all 3 into the mega-map game. But even far more expensive is the time investment for learning the tactics, strategy and Warhammer lore. But it's worth it.

The mega update last week is labeled as Beta and will be considered Beta for quite a while however if you are waiting for a better time.

Given the track record, this is only a good thing. Maybe better the more it gets pushed back. V2 was a mess on launch, and then they had to backtrack for several months recovering technical debt.

Yep. Firefox is important to anyone who wants freedom from the monolithic. FF's future is shaky and so is having a semblance of an open web.
