Yeah that's what I and everyone else thought at first. But you can't fix it with environment variables. It is in the registry.

Ok I'm going to find it right now...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

Change the entry for "ProgramFilesDir" from "C:\Program Files" to whatever you need.

There is a painless workaround.

*cues Ant*

I can't remember the details but you change your ProgramFiles setting in the registry.

Well, I was watching it, screaming at the TV a lot. That kick went so far wide, I ducked.

LOL!

What the hell was Peyton thinking not using those timeouts and not getting those TWO YARDS for a first down, and making your kicker try a 46 yard field goal. Suprisingly poor judgement, Peyton.

How bout them Steelers!

They win despite the refs giving ridiculous calls to the Colts and despite Bettis' last minute drop. Was just hoping to see more wacky trick plays!

NWN2 *could* render it obsolete. But I think that's a big *could* because I think there are many who:

1) enjoy D&D and multiplayer experiences but don't mind a fee

2) aren't as concerned with a player-run persistent world ala NWN2

3) like that DDO does add small bits of twitch to combat

4) don't want to shop around for different modules in order to play with friends

Who is more mentally ill, me or him?

He did take yearish-long break when I made him play DAOC with me. Otherwise he's been playing since around Luclin. Some people love all that raiding #&$@, god love em.

I always wanted to try RO but never was interested in buying UT for it. Now I can skip that step and give money to the RO guys instead.

Thinking man's perma-sprinting knife-rushing BF2 perhaps?

At least the firearms were potent.

I am obligated to buy this ... even if it was really just George Lucas' poo in a box labeled Star Wars. I bought the first Battlefront and it wasn't bad. This can't be worse, and there are Forces (ahem) beyond my control at work here. So yes, I must buy this.

At least the Jedi Knight series are really good games, so there you have it. Now just make some more, please.

I would give this mod a try if there were any populated servers. This is a problem for all mods. It could be the coolest mod in the world, but if there isn't one server with some kind of population, it's all for nothing. A real shame. And a lot of mods for battlefield are in that boat.

I would kind of like to see a feature to lock your vehicles for squadmates only. Maybe that's a bit elitist though.

Commanders still get negative points and work towards a kick when they kill their team, just like everyone. Maybe they could make mutiny voting become weighted after your commander goes on a TK rampage though.
[Edit: hmm don't know how it will work in the patch]

The gunsights are OK. My mode of operation is, always use iron sights. It makes all the difference in the world. Exception of course is when in very close quarters, I just spray and pray.

I didn't think there was any bullet drop in the game. Then I saw a video where a guy dramatically sped up and slowed down the bullet velocity. This made a good case for it. However, the drop is very slight. I have no problem popping headshots with the sniper scope, and certainly I occasionally miss.

If you played Joint Ops, you probably feel pretty impotent in BF2. JO lets you adjust your scope sights to your target's range. That feature would be handy in BF2. At one time JO also had adjustable scope zoom, which had a part in why JO was a sniper shootout more than conquest/assault type gameplay. Later, adjustable zoom was removed in the name of gameplay.

Luckiest truck driver ever.

In that 3rd link, he ran off without his hat for the cold showers.
