Kind of weird. I was a GWENT tester and early adopter - but if you are involved in the Witcher lore, wouldn't you already own all of that? I am pretty sure it was FREE from GOG or a buck or something elsewhere.....

I'm pretty sure they know the exact numbers who already own it, and can't help but wonder just how cheap this is.

I've no idea if it's transferable, but I already have Witcher 2 on my GoG account, so my tester code *may* be going free. If anyone somehow doesn't have it already and wants to try, just shout.

And it's actually at a cheap price point on day one. May actually pick this up. Me and the mrs have often pined for the original.

Oh dear christ are those seriously screenshots from DoW3 near the start of the article? That's unforgivably terrible.

At least with all sides slinging "X party wants to return us to 19XX" slurs, we can finally settle on 1984 for the Conservative party

Not a shock really. You don't get dedicated servers for Diablo 3, Overwatch or other instanced party MMO type deals either.

Game reminds me of the movie Screamers, where the AI was creating more of its self and evolving. Basically, it was creating life.

Hasn't a Sims title been in the top 3 on PC charts for the past 12 years? I assume it is because "casual" gamers buy the physical version of it while everyone else buys "proper" games on Steam.

I'm always amazed that there is sufficient steady purchase of Sims to always return it to the top if nothing else of note is out. Surely everyone interested already owns it by now?!

Loved my BBC Micro. Great days when a computer actually came with an instruction manual for programming BASIC, and what got me into programming a scary 33 years ago.

Still have a working one in the cupboard next to me at work, complete with tape deck and Welcome cassette

I hate not being the demographic for this game.

This. I tried to be, but was not to be. Also, I can't help but parse 'Warmatron' as some kind of android that warms you. "Alexa, warm me up"

Origin seems to work extremely well for me, and from what I hear, they have much better (live) customer support. Haven't tried it myself, though.

I had to contact EA a few times back in the pre-Origin days to merge accounts that were all me but spawned by various different games and was always amazed that (here in the UK at least) I got a local call center that wasn't just going through the motions off a list of text and actually got shit sorted and fast. Of course a lot can change in the years since.

we’d like to extend a huge thanks to all players that have played the beta and given us feedback

The beta? Wasn't this game released like a month+ ago? At least they're honest in calling people who bought the game beta testers.

I did wonder at that. Very curious slip up.

"The first few hours of Andromeda are a gruesome trudge through the most trite bilge of the previous three games, smeared out in a setting that’s horribly familiar, burdened with some outstandingly awful writing, buried beneath a UI that appears to have been designed to infuriate in every possible way."

Wow, did not expect anything other than pure arse-lickery from RPS, so that's nice to see.

[edit] Having read the rest, damn that's a brutal ripping. Sounds deserved though, those are some AWFUL cliches going on right there.

ASHLEY DID ALOY?!? Holy fuck never would have guessed.

She stole the show as Tiny Tina in BL2

Tiny Tina is why I'm amazed that Aloy is also her. Both awesomely voiced, both totally different. Grats to her for not letting herself get pigeonholed.

I actually think dancing and cutting. And cutting and dancing.
