For those interested it's currently at an all time low according to isthereanydeal at $16.37 USD on GMG due to their summer sale.

The last "free weekend" for SoW was only a limited demo of the 1st chapter tutorial. But I guess any demo in 2018 is pretty rare regardless.

Thanks for the heads up. I was considering buying this but at $80 CDN they're on crack. $20 might just do it. Is it as grindy and repetitious as the first one though? If you I'll wait a while yet. Mebbe grab it in Rocktober.

Yeah, still waiting here too. If there's going to be a "Game of the Year" version with all the DLC, around the 1 year release anniversary in Oct sounds about right for it to come out.

FYI if you're thinking about downloading this:

1. the download is 106GB on Steam
2. apparently it's not a "free weekend" but just a limited demo of the first chapter tutorial.

Hope this saves you the 2 min I just wasted realizing this.

They are specifically addressing illicit uses, not a so-called "no-holds barred attack" in general or an "elimination." Even this FUD Reuters article states that "the choice to invest in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will be open to end users" in India. You can smell the fear from the traditional financial middlemen that this tech will serve to render redundant.

Increased regulation of this technology may have the opposite effect of destroying it: these statements by governments serve to legitimize the tech and it's power. Regulations on the market and the reduction of volatility will likely draw in more risk-averse investors, raising the market cap and subsequently their demand and value.

Regulations and normalization of this blockchain/token industry are inevitable, but due to its massive potential only the most backward governments will ever consider outright banning it. Welcome to the new future.

I don't know how this would actually translate to video game sales, but there are approximately 2.5 billion Cricket fans worldwide from Australia to South Asia to the Windies.

Compare this to American Football with something like ~500 million total.

Regardless, doubtful that this is going to compete with the Madden juggernaut.

They made this DLC free to their Kickstarter backers, at all tiers. Lots of goodwill for this small company, can't wait to see what they do for GD next.

Really excited for this game, in particular the ability to race your friends. But disappointed as usual in EA's exclusionary Origin-only policy. Give in to the the Steam hegemony!

The "We Know" with the hand at the end of the trailer alludes to the Dark Brotherhood, so hopefully if they have a new questline/guild for them that's at least one exciting addition.

GOG all the way... DRM free so no need for these unwanted proprietary gateways.

Now that they sell contemporary games as well, if actually given the choice I just buy it on there (i.e. Witcher 3, Wasteland 2, etc.).

I'm a Pens fan, they kind of imploded a couple of games ago and just never picked it up again. Just disappointing to watch another year of them hitting a wall and aside from a few players all but giving up.

I live in MN, though, and you kind of have to love the Wild here. I'm actually more depressed about them losing last night, but that was a hell of a game and one of the best playoff series I've seen...both of theirs have been, their series with the Avs was great, too.

Both of my favorite teams ending their seasons on the same night made for a pretty shitty night, though :p

I share your pain... it felt empty and hollow this morning with no motivation to check the hockey news, for the first time in many months. There's no doubt we have a bright future with the Wild though. And with perspective, our pain has nothing on Coyle playing the last two games with TWO separated shoulders.

Anyway - go Rangers now! Hoping for a NY-LA final.

The mobile game was awful, even on it's original platform.

My opinion differs. It was stellar on Android, and it was quite amazing that they captured the DX experience so well on mobile.

The PC port was utterly miserable. Personally, despite buying it, I have yet to even get it to run. $10 completely down the drain.

Also, Skyrim Legendary Edition is $19.20 USD (60% off) on GMG, with coupon PLOCVS-G2T5YX-DATY6M.

Been waiting forever for the DLC to go cheap, and this was the best deal yet I found to get them.

This thread made me lol. Such fine sarcasm.

I've played a few hours of it since this evening after having bought it upon release. It's actually quite fun so far, though not especially scary yet IMHO. I enjoy the large maps, open-worldish gameplay, and the vulnerability you feel resulting from the relatively primitive weapons.

Also the devs are quite active and responsive on the Steam forum, which gets points in my book.

Reviews, please! TY!

Wish I could, but the game won't even run for me. I get the "<stringid: 1,942>" error that more than a few people are reporting on the Steam forums.

Additionally, apparently the keyboard bindings can't be remapped - at all. Unfortunately, this should have just stayed on mobile.

Take my money. Already own this on Android, and finished it, and would happily buy it again for PC.

People complaining about "mobile" graphics obviously haven't played the original DX recently. Graphics mean nothing to gameplay, story, and immersion - of which The Fall has droves.

I've only played the first mission so far, and it seems to be HR tracks so far (Hengsha ambient I think?). The title track seems to be new though. Here's hoping there's new tracks later in the game.

Hah.. I also bought the HR soundtrack.

I just did, and would highly recommend it if you enjoyed DX:HR. I'm not a huge mobile gamer, or fan of onscreen controls, but this was worth it. It has the look, feel, and story of a proper DX FPS game, just in your pocket.

Bonus: music is by Michael McCann again and it's excellent.
