Every game is different as there are multiple routes for each map (to my understanding) and the AI Director ensures that you won't face the same scripted events at the same locations.
Right. In fact, in L4D it's ALL done procedurally on-the-fly, so there are NO scripted events at all. So, different every time you play it! Much coolage.
Oh, and this November release has already been known for weeks now, it's not really new (to anyone who keeps up with the game anyway). When I saw that new "delay" headline I got worried and thought, oh no, here we go again--more delays??! I mean, November's bad enough at this point, but if there was yet another delay, I think I'd jump off a building.
I'll add that I think they're really missing a golden opportunity here not releasing this around Halloween--which they'll be soooo close to.
And to anyone poo-pooing or "meh"-ing the game in this thread, whether YOU happen know it or not, a co-op ZOMBIE shooter game(!) has been like, the missing Holy Grail for lots and lots of gamers out there for many years now. Strange as it seems, this really is a game concept that no one's ever (aside from buggy homespun mods) taken the time to actually do and do right--which I've never understood. So it really is quite a new thing they're doing here, and there are tons of zombie movie fans around the globe who are absolutely starving for it, and have been for years!
You'll see. It's gonna be big.
