went to cross the border
The border is basically a rights exclusionary zone and courts have ruled it as such. Everyone going through the border should know or be informed of this. And there's the whole 100 miles zone that most of the US population lives in too.

Not saying what happened is right, just saying to be aware.

Probably would have been better to do the early access route if they were going to alpha on end users

For a moment I read this as Consumer Support division, which would probably help them out more than this.

Still the original and best, although I prefered Terror from the Deep.
Same, in terms of mechanics, because of the melee weapons tweaks and additions. Other than that they are essentially identical. Kinda a rip off heh.

In terms of aliens, the ufo defense one had the most iconic aliens. Crysalids!

I'm guessing my new shiny 1070 GTX will be fine for 1080p.
Question is, will my 6gb ram and i7-920 squeak by.

And 60gb! dang!

To quote some game developer from the 90s (Carmack? Or maybe CliffyB?), a game is done, when it is done. Dont rush things, and give the developers time.
Would you say the same thing about star citizen? j/k

Definitely, the best TBS to the day! Spent hundreds of hours in both X-Com: Enemy Unknown and Terror From the Deep, soo many found memories. At some point a buddy and I would load 12 soldiers on the Skyranger, then split our troops in a half once on the ground and fight each other while the aliens were still shooting at us, it was awesome!
That sounds hilarious!

Sure. If you can prove to their satisfaction that it wasn't you, and if you're fine with waiting "a few weeks" to get your money back
That's not how it works on a credit card. You actually don't even have to pay that portion of the bill, and they cannot charge you for it while it's being investigated.

Yes, it can work that way with a debit card... which is yet another reason not to use a debit card.

Any verdict on which current 4X game is "the best", or at least highly recommended?
Distant Worlds: Universe hands down.
Which is FINALLY on steam. The devs stopped being idiots (or maybe they had a publishing agreement?) and now are on steam selling far more copies than before. The steam price is also much more reasonable than what they had before (yes I know it's high, but it's not $100+ high which I believe it was before with the expansions before it came to steam)
The steam version includes 4 expansion packs.
It's been as low as $25 or $30 on sale on steam.

That would be great! Unfortunately since I'm sure it still costs a couple cents, the cheap knock off batteries that most need it (not counting the stupid space cramming rushed design of the note that got banned), probably won't get it.

Okay, got my interest. I'm cautiously optimistic, but I am looking forward to more information.

Optimistic?!
After the last dozen times they've promised yearly to rededicate themselves? And almost every time screw things up worse and don't improve anything?
After the most recent FORCED update in win 10 where they KNEW the update caused problems in multi monitor gaming, yet went ahead and released it anyway?

Where after they killed the crappy GFWL, they brought into being a new store where games in that store have to be technically inferior per MS restrictions to be in that store?
List of restrictions that MS's universal apps (games) have to comply with to be sold on their store:
Text for your Link
No SLI or CrossFire
Forced VSYNC on
Forced Borderless Fullscreen Mode (no exclusive, which means performance issues)
Modding forbidden
No .exe files so you can't run a shortcut within steam and can't use steam controller
Overlays don't work, so can't use FRAPS, etc. Better hope you don't want to twitch stream.
Mouse macros disabled
Win 10 only forced
Devs can't communicate with users on the platform, so many are communicating about windows store on... STEAM discussion boards!
Games like CoD can only play with other players who use the same crappy win store version, they can't play with the majority PC players on steam.

MS finally gave in and added offline mode... that requires a slew of complicated steps to use, and you have to set it up and enable it IN ADVANCE of a problem, on a per game basis, on ONE device only. Wait you didn't do that before your internet went down? Tough crap

And don't you DARE change devices more than a couple times a year.

I am waiting for benchmarks by websites based on the consumer version. I don't trust AMD after the lies about Bulldozer and the RX480.

What RX480 lies? AMD didn't lie, people who got their hands on early hardware did. Get those facts straight please.
Sure they did, head guy at AMD lied at the show introducing it in fact.
