Dune Spice Wars is alright, but everyone would agree that award belongs to Against the Storm.

I definitely agree. Against the Storm is one of my favorite recent games.

I was a big fan of Hexen and Heretic as a kid. I played the demo of Graven a couple of years ago and it was okay at best. I was hoping it might improve through Early Access, but the reviews are appear mixed. I think I will pass for now.

"The 60 Best Video Games of 2023" is basically every major video game release this year and includes a few games that were not that well received.

You can definitely hold off and pick this one up later if you just played Zero Dawn recently, unless you're heavily invested in the story and world, which Forbidden West does a good job expanding on.

In terms of gameplay it does have some improvements, but not enough to keep it fresh if Zero Dawn was wearing thin by the end. Also some parts were a regression as you have to do some machine farming to unlock overriding for the more powerful machines when you complete their cauldron which felt a bit tedious.

I finished it recently and at some point in my playthrough just decided to push the main story to complete it. I haven't played the DLC so I might pick this up on PC at some point in the future to play that.

Thanks for the reply. I did enjoy the first one and its world. I will probably give it a go once it has a better sale price. Hopefully the break between playthroughs will help freshen it up a bit

I played the main game on Game Pass and, while some things hold it back, it was decent enough. The world is interesting and reminiscent of Bioshock.

I haven't been following this story, but I did play Overwatch 2 for a short while when it first came out. While I can understand people being upset about losing a promised feature, I don't understand the "scamming" aspect since the game is free-to-play and anything you buy is cosmetic.

The way people are talking you would think the game is unplayable for everyone. but obviously that is not the case. Granted lots of people are having issues, and the reviews warn people away for that reason. Still it is hard to know what type of % basis of people are having the problems. The newer cards do not appear to have as many problems, although they still complain about shader compilation.
If you go by the steam reviews percentage, I'd guess something around half.

Jedi Survivor no doubt has issues, but I also do find that reviewers tend to jump on a negative bandwagon. Ultimately though, these type of issues happen all the time and people should stop pre-ordering games. I got burned once many years ago and now always wait for reviews, a few patches, and a decent sale.

There are no doubt some people that are review bombing it because they are homophobes, but lets be careful not to label every critique of the show as homophobic. I like the show, but I do find it rather sluggish at times and I don't think I will watch it again once its done.

The first game is one of my favorites and I look forward to trying the sequel, though I will probably wait until it comes out of early access.

On another note, reviews on Steam have become mostly useless one liners. It is annoying.

I am going to renew Game Pass in the near future to play Atomic Heart (and other new games on the platform). Might wait for a patch or two though.

This is the first I've heard of Warpips, but I decided to give it a try. I've only played it for a bit, but it seems like a fun and unique tower defense/tug of war game.

I was waiting to play the game before watching the show. However, I've heard the game isn't overly long and is somewhat of a walking simulator/video game movie anyway. With the game also selling at full price, I was thinking of just watching the show instead rather than wait for a decent sale. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

How limiting is their F2P model?

I believe it is the full game and you only buy points to get new cosmetics for your character. You can also build up points from playing the game, but it is very very slow.

I am one of the twenty million. Fall Guy had been on my wishlist from the beginning, but I never quite pulled the trigger. I've played it a fair bit these past few nights. It is enjoyable, but I am not sure how much longetivity it has for me.

I tried GeForce Now when it was first released, but hadn't used it since. I decided to load it up and see what demos they had to try. Suffice it to say, it is far from instant. Perhaps it is because of the weekend, but I am currently in a 20 minute queue to play a demo.

One of my favorite games in recent years. As others have mentioned, if you like Bioshock and System Shock, you will like this.

Very Positive (93% of 2,629) All time

If there was ever a David versus Goliath story this wasn't it.

Why the negativity toward the developer? Darq is a small one-man indie game that is owned between 100,000-200,000 people on Steam and has a positive rating of 92-93%. It did fairly well. He was open and honest about the exclusivity deal.

Some of these are good things to point out. That being said, I think it is up to the reviewer to decide if it is a great value, has good graphics, and is well-optimized.

The only option I want right now is the ability to remove or hide games from my library. There are a few indie games that I just didn't like or will never play again. I've also got some beta tests and demos that are no longer playable, yet stay in my library for some dumb reason. I would really like the ability to trim some fat.
