How limiting is their F2P model?

I believe it is the full game and you only buy points to get new cosmetics for your character. You can also build up points from playing the game, but it is very very slow.

I am one of the twenty million. Fall Guy had been on my wishlist from the beginning, but I never quite pulled the trigger. I've played it a fair bit these past few nights. It is enjoyable, but I am not sure how much longetivity it has for me.

I tried GeForce Now when it was first released, but hadn't used it since. I decided to load it up and see what demos they had to try. Suffice it to say, it is far from instant. Perhaps it is because of the weekend, but I am currently in a 20 minute queue to play a demo.

One of my favorite games in recent years. As others have mentioned, if you like Bioshock and System Shock, you will like this.

Steam Customer Reviews
Very Positive (93% of 2,629) All time

If there was ever a David versus Goliath story this wasn't it.

Why the negativity toward the developer? Darq is a small one-man indie game that is owned between 100,000-200,000 people on Steam and has a positive rating of 92-93%. It did fairly well. He was open and honest about the exclusivity deal.

Some of these are good things to point out. That being said, I think it is up to the reviewer to decide if it is a great value, has good graphics, and is well-optimized.

The only option I want right now is the ability to remove or hide games from my library. There are a few indie games that I just didn't like or will never play again. I've also got some beta tests and demos that are no longer playable, yet stay in my library for some dumb reason. I would really like the ability to trim some fat.

I enjoyed Alan Wake when it came out. It has great atmosphere, but the gameplay is repetitive. I'm not sure I would want to play though it again even with a remaster. I also felt the same way about Control, which is set in the same universe.

I've been stuck on that first boss in Control, lol. The one that hovers and you have to throw sh!t at him. I'm about to quit the game due to frustration.

Yeah, it took me a while to figure that out as well. You have to mainly shoot him, since he mostly dodges your launch attacks. It is kind of silly since it is ability you just recently got, but than it doesn't actually work well against the boss.

I haven't checked, but I would guess The Suicide Squad is rated a hard R. I can see that limiting some numbers.

I am a big fan of the first game, but not so much the second one (it was okay). I am only in it for the single-player campaigns though.

Might & Magic X was on my wishlist for a long time, but never quite got motivated to buy it due to having only "okay" reviews. I guess I wont be playing it now, unless I go back to my old pirating ways of my teenage and college years.

Goodness. It was emotionally manipulative tripe. That, and the livestream kept cutting out throughout.

For what it's worth, Windows 11 looks pretty decent. I just think the presentation was rather superficial and didn't tell me what I really wanted to know about it.

Windows 11 does look interesting. My only slight complaint is the start menu. I've always had my lesser used programs in folders (Windows 7 and earlier) or in categorized tiles (Windows 8 & 10). The Windows 11 start menu appears to be just a blob of icons with no way to group or organize them.

Oh, sorry, wrong store. Stickers and points instead.

I haven't purchased much on Epic, but I must admit I've taken advantage of their coupons. It has allowed me to purchased games on sale or extra content for their free giveaways and push them under $10.

You should. I love Subnautica. But as I recall, Subnautica was somewhat buggy out of the gate so I don't think you need to rush to start this one.

I already bought Below Zero during a sale, but I am also going to wait a short while to make sure any major bugs are worked out (as I do with most games these days). However, from what I've read, Below Zero is more of a Subnautica 1.5 than a full sequel. Hopefully all the fixes they added in the first game are already built into the new game. I haven't seen many complaints about any major bugs in the reviews, though I have been mostly skimming to the summary to avoid any potential spoilers.

For a moment I was excited for what I thought was the sequel to The Talos Principle.

Whatever the case, it could be an interesting retro 2D game. It reminds me a bit of Castlevania 2 or Faxanadu. I am not always a fan of story rich games though, I am more into gameplay than heavy reading.

I love the world.

Not my normal type of game but this looks interesting.

Same group made Sunless Sea and Fallen London. Fallen London is a free browser game and seems mostly text and art based. Sunless sea seems similar to Sunless Sky.

Anybody try any of these? Is the actual game-play halfway decent?

I enjoyed Sunless Seas, but it definitely isn't for everyone. It is a highly atmospheric survival and exploration game that requires some patience. It is also story-rich and reminds me of the old Choose Your Own Adventure Games (if you are old enough to remember those).

Sunless Seas certainly doesn't hold your hand. I had my own little sea journel to keep track of various ports for what they do and sell. I think the story and economic pacing could have been a been quicker. Part of the problem is that if you die, you restart the story with a new sailor, which was a major complaint.

I hear the Sunless Skies fixes a lot of the weaknesses of the first game. I own the sequel, but I've been waiting for the Sovereign Edition to actually play it (which was announced a long while ago).
