There's weak demand for anything a consumer feels is unnecessary or overpriced. DDR4 falls into this category also.

But instead of dropping prices and re-establishing good will between consumers the DDR4 industry wants to keep production low and keep selling at criminal prices.

I have a Samsung Galaxy phone that 5 is generations old now and while I've thought about going up a generation or two I don't really find it mandatory to do so.

I already claimed this free game last December. How about a free DLC for me this year?

I've yet to play this game (or even install it). Maybe a free DLC would inspire me to do so.

They've already shown that "some" types of early sunscreens that were supposed to protect you from skin cancer actually caused skin cancer. The chemical based sunscreens, iirc. Sunscreens produced by experts in their field of study.

I tend to agree with you based upon an old adage that, "the dose makes the poison". In other words, even though cellphones could theoretically cause cancer given that they produce radiation, it may not be enough to justify blaming them as the sole cause of it. But that's just my very "layman" theory.

I sure don't have the credentials to say for certainty one way or the other.

Therefore, I employ another old adage in my life. "Better to be safe than sorry" and so it's kept off my person most of the time, nearby. The weight of the phone on my body bugs me anyway, even though it's relatively light.

It's possible that this is a lingering theory that was actually true in the past when the size of the antennae and cell phones were larger and required more power to operate.

You're right, actually. I was born 1900-01-01. So, I'm about 118 years old now, according to Steam according to my Steam account anyway.

The problem is that the content filtering will stop about the same number of children from getting to the adult content as our U.S. Laws are keeping out illegal aliens from entering our country.

It makes people feel good, having a content filtering system (and illegal immigration laws) but they don't really do anything in a real-world scenario. Because they're both easily bypassed and there is no punishment for doing so.

I guess Steam is no longer just a PC gaming service. If it's expanding beyond that into a porn service it's a little sad to me. If they start offering porn games it'll eventually be porn movies as well. Do we really need another porn service on the Internet? Like there aren't enough already.

I know Steam isn't exclusively an environment for children but porn has a negative stigma attached to it, period. I don't want it bleeding into every area of my life just because it's "okay" for adults. Kids can lie on the Internet easier than they can in real life. You need to present a valid id to purchase cigarettes and alcohol. So, that argument is pretty weak also. It basically justifies Steam's efforts to prevent access to porn for minors by enforcing age verification which we all know is a complete joke on the Internet.

You want every single person to pay each time for the experience. You probably even want a single buyer who watches a DVD twice to pay per viewing, isn't that only fair?

Televisions should be turned into single-seated private viewing boxes. Big-Screen televisions should be banned and illegal because if I pay $4.00 to watch a movie On-Demand only 1 person should get that experience for the $4.00 viewing fee, right?

People are still making movies today and they are still making games today. So, I hope that answers your question about sustainability. Gabe Newell is a billionaire. And you can't discount Quake 1 by $10.00 when you can actually own the license to play it for the rest of your life, right now, for the low low price of one-dollar and twenty-four cents. And that's with the publishers and developers blessings.
