The study didn't mention 1)how many kids, there ages, or over what period of time the study was performed. Or did I miss that part?

Fluoride isn't marijuana. You don't brush your teeth with it and instantly become dumber. Just like you don't smoke a cigarette and get cancer the next morning.

"however. In fact, children who grew up with fluoridated water had slightly higher IQs than their peers". How many kids are we talking about here. 5 in each group? Lies, damn lies, and statistics. Why do I even bother giving an ounce of my time to these studies.

Holy Moses. No wonder I am so stupid. Here we have been thinking that fluoride makes you dumber and this study proves it actually makes you smarter. Wow. I think I am going to start drinking my toothpaste. I'll mix some in my health shake every morning. Thank God for this study.

Fluoride...it does a brain good. LOL. Oh but wait, it says on my toothpaste to call a poison control center if swallowed? Oh well, the study says it makes me smarter. So it must be.

I guess this is the time in which I would normally jump up and begin screaming and pounding my first on the table in anger and protest that "Amplitude" isn't coming to PC but then I realized I have never even heard of it, so I guess I won't have to feign any anger today. *YAWN* What else is new that I might actually care about?

yeah, i mean that's bullshit but i can't help but wonder which of the people posting here actually play any of the games affected online.

have you guys taken a look at that list? some of those titles i have and haven't played in 5+ years, and when i did i was lucky to find 10 active servers.

there should still be a legacy service to support these titles obviously, but how butthurt are you actually because you can't play them anymore? name one title that you actually play online from that list and i'll eat my words

The point your making is irrelevant. If these greedy ass companies had left the power of putting up servers in the hands of the communities then people could play this whenever they were in the mood for it. Maybe in 10 years someone wants to play one of these games to recapture some childhood memories. So it's about playing whenever you want.

10 active servers is 10 more servers than your going to be able to find when GameSpy shuts down completely.

Pay by screen size? Your joking right? Hahahaha. Funny stuff. Umm, I think I'll just stick to renting the Blu-Ray version for a $1.00.

They already sell SD and HD copies now. They'll just add 4K into the mix, at a higher cost.

I think he means physical screen size, not resolution.

It makes some sense. The experience of watching it on a phone is entirely different, and crappier, than watching it on a 40' screen with a projector (assuming you have that option.)

However:
1) This is damn near impossible to enforce
2) This is dated thinking. People understood, when resolutions were different, why buying a copy for their 320x240 iPod was cheaper than buying a copy for their TV. This is no longer really as understood, as it's the exact same thing you're buying either way, and it's just the damn thing being used to play it, which is a customer input, that's changing

Only way I see this working is if it segregates by store, meaning that things traditionally hooked up to a TV have one store with one price and things traditionally held in your hand have a different store with different prices. Buy it from Sony, Comcast or Xbox and it's $9.99. Buy it from Android's store and it's $4.99. Sure, smart consumers will just HDMI-out their tablet, but plenty wouldn't bother. The biggest issue is that Apple has just one store. I guess they can limit things artificially, and knowing Apple they may go along with it, but I don't see it going over well.

Pick either one. Screen size or resolution. A 10" tablet can have a high-resolution. That doesn't mean I would ever pay more money for a higher res version. It's still rape to charge more money just because a movie is in a higher resolution. From a logical standpoint they probably shoot a movie in the highest resolution possible and then compress down to smaller resolutions for things like streaming over the internet.

If the argument is, "well bandwidth cost money so we gotta charge more". Okay, fine. I'll buy the physical Blu-Ray disc so that you don't feel the obligation to rape me. Thank you very much for the offer anyway.

Higher cost to see the same movie? LOL. People with 80" television screens will be able to see the difference between Blu-Ray and 4k movies. Good luck to the movie industry. Wishing them all the best(luck) in the world. I guess the movie industry is finally realizing that double the pixels doesn't justify double the price of the movie. Finally starting to see $5 Blu-Ray movies.

Windows XP is far from dead. It's just no longer supported by Microsoft and even that isn't true. I never knew there were so many drama queens on the internet. You would think the end of the world is near.

If Microsoft is gonna release security patches for the government for Windows XP why not make available to the public as well. Aren't the taxpayers footing the bill anyway?

Hey Microsoft, how is that "#DEALWITHIT" attitude towards the customers that put crisp green money in your hands working out for ya? Ah, gee, too bad. So sorry, so sad.

What's the old saying??? Oh yeah, "Don't bite the ****ing hand that feeds you." You dumb bastards.

If I say I do NOT want a touch UI on my desktop guess what that means? Let me translate it because I realize it's kinda cryptic and could be misinterpreted. So for your benefit Microsoft, "I do NOT WANT a ****ing touch UI on my desktop". Thank you for listening. Ignore at your own peril! When does Windows 7 support end again...the year 2020...? *deep breath* sigh * chillin *

uggh, the embedded Youtube video everyone hates...

If any news deserves a video that takes over the front page, it's DLC for COD: Ghosts!

They should rename this "Aliens franchise meets Call of Duty franchise". I guess these developers live in California where marijuana can legally be purchased for medicinal purposes. These two franchises do NOT belong together.

So in other words DICE released this game into the wild about a year before it actually should have been released...that is the take away from this post. I am so glad I never bought it.
The last DICE game I purchased was BFBC2 for about $7 on Steam. I loved that game.

50 posts in and no one mentions the obvious solution? Let's hope the lawyers in question know their shit. If they (Gearbox) are smart they will come to some sort of deal with Interceptor, publish their game and make some money in the process. There is no money to be had from a broke ass developer anyway...

Im guessing you didn't actually "read" all 50 posts. I posed this exact solution 20 or so messages before you crawled out of bed. But repeating it does no harm. So thanks for that. Maybe someone will listen.

Missed your post. Sorry.

If Interceptor has finished(or can finish) a quality Duke Nukem title for future release, get the damn lawyers together so that everybody can make at least some money. Nobody makes any money without a solution.

That Duke Nukem Reloaded game did have really nice looking screen shots going for it. Why can't the company who was making that game just license the Duke Franchise for a small fee and then finish the game? Everybody wins. Give whoever owns it a small slice and make a ton of money off the finished game.

@Creston,

I like your passion.

I read most of the article. It sounds like what the lady was saying was that, "we live in a good neighborhood, why lock the doors"? Generally, businesses don't lift a finger until their bottom line is impacted enough to make them worry. I guess fraud has been around like you say, for the past 20 years, but it wasn't enough fraud for them to care.

When the bottom line really starts being impacted. The lazy fat ass comes to life and springs into action.

I complained to one of my favorite cheese producers, Tillamook, about why they haven't made it their "mission statement" to eliminate GMO foods from their products. "Welll....we....blah blah blah.....its so hard....blah blah blah....".

Of course, they will continue selling cheeses made with milk from cows that have been fed GMO grains as long as MY DUMB ASS keeps purchasing their cheese, which I continue to do, in spite of the fact that I know they do this. But I have made up my mind to find a better alternative so they are on borrowed time now. So yeah....that's my rant...and uh I feel naked and vunerable right now...please excuse me.....

Windows 8 growh falters??? I am in complete shock. How can that be? Oh wait...that's right....it's a ****ing tablet operating system released for a desktop. They sent me a little boy to do a mans job. And still they slowly back pedal by releasing little tidbits of desktop functionality in the Windows 8.1 Update 1 release. Hey Microsoft. Man UP bitches. You ****** UP royally. Put on your big boy pants, admit it, and get done what needs to be done in Windows 9. Just like politicians, wanna pretend nothing is wrong, that they made no mistakes, and keep running the train down the same damn dead end track like nothing is wrong. Man up BITCHES!!!! Stop putting band-aids on Windows 8. Give the world what it wants a full blown fully functional desktop. Not some gay ass purple tiles for chimpanzees.
