for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary Powers.

He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.

He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.

He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil Power.

Op Ed from the WaPo.

Poor Jar Jar Actor, I'm sure he drys his tears with the royalty checks.

The actor and musician has reportedly been considering performing a one-man show timed to the anniversary of ‘Phantom Menace’.

His opening line should be "Yes I did it! I ruined your childhood!"

own it and wear it with pride

That's some class-A empathy you have there sir.

It's not robotics per se. It's "AI", neural nets really, that will be taking over the white collar jobs in everything like law, accounting, advertising, etc. And they'll make more semi-manual jobs like nursing much more streamlined and efficient - which is why the union opposes them because that means job cuts and lower pay. I've pretty much never had anything but negative experiences with nurses so I'm all for it.

You need to get sick in Japan dude. They have the best nurses.

Love these "Robots are taking our jerbs" stories, we're so far off from having robots agile enough to perform manual labor on tasks like nursing I doubt it'll happen in our lifetime. I could see automated truck driving but I think it'll be like flying drones remotely where you'll still have a human taking over the controls via some sort of VR experience in order to navigate city streets.

I'm ready for the singularity, merge my consciousness into the machines and hop on the first intergalactic transport off this rock. I hope I can take my CD's with me because it's going to be a really long journey.
We were just having this discussion a week ago. Plumbers and electricians are safe due to the dexterity issue, as you pointed out. Truck and taxi drivers are totally screwed. If that truck can travel that 500 highway miles by itself, and only needs a person to remote pilot it for the last mile, that's 100s of jobs replaced by one person. That's devastating. And white collar jobs are just as vulnerable, especially ones requiring high analysis but low creativity: tax prep, radiologist, stock broker, etc.

Putting gender aside (though you shouldn’t), if you work in advertising, public relations, broadcasting, law or financial services, you have a reason to fret.

If the robots are doing a better job at Public Relations, we're doomed. But at least we'll be happy about it.
Given the small subset of things PR reps are allowed to say, should be pretty easy to automate.

Over time in soccer should be 15 minutes with no goalies. Whoever scores more wins.
Obviously that isn't going to happen, but it is interesting to think about. What would that looked like... I mean, would you leave 4 guys standing on the goal line and play 7 on 7? I mean, people have scored from mid-field with a goalie playing (granted, the goalie was out of position but... ).

My thought is that whichever team scored more goals would have one goal added to their final score as to not disrupt the stats. So if Spain and Russia play and finish regular time tied 1-1, then they would play one 15m period with no goalies. If Spain scored 5 goals to Russia's 3 in the overtime period, the final score would be 2-1 Spain (not 6-4).

Went swimming with sharks in Malaysia in the 90s, and the locals attracted them to the bay by throwing cooked chicken into the water. They'd let you help, and some poor woman tourist tried to hand feed the shark and got nipped on the fingers by razor sharp teeth. There was lots of blood, but she just got scratched, didn't lose any fingers.

Was pretty cool snorkeling with all those black tipped reef sharks though.

Penalty kicks are, and always were, lame. Either the kicker keeps his cool and just puts it away from the keeper entirely, or they crack under the pressure/flub it. Keepers only get a chance when the kicker makes a mistake. They have no choice but PKs though, they can't play forever.
Over time in soccer should be 15 minutes with no goalies. Whoever scores more wins.
*EDIT* Also, I'm not sure if it's that woman's fault, but whoever is responsible for the utterly terrible plots(approval and writing, etc.) of 7 and 8, and to a certain extent, Rogue One, should definitely be fired. Solo was the best of the new movies by far, although apparently it did the worst at the box office.
The new movies weren't planned with any overarching story in mind. That, coupled with their derivative nature, results in poor quality and disjointed movies. That's what happens when you make movies designed to sell tickets as opposed telling a good story.

Haven't seen Solo yet, but Rogue One is the best of the new bunch. Also, say what you will about George, at least he was trying to tell a story.
