This bill is incredibly awful, and it's depressing that it has virtually universal bipartisan support. And of course Trump will rubberstamp anything that comes across his desk to look like he's actually doing some work and not just jerking off to Fox and Friends.

Not that he really had a choice here, though.

Yeah, the reason it passed is because it could be oversimplified to "He voted against the anti sex-trafficking bill! Why would he do that???"

But are people more likely to be Night Owls *because* of health issues or is it vice versa? Maybe being a Night Owl and the increased mortality rate is the symptom rather than the cause.

I'm a night owl because I like to play PC games.

Importantly, victims of revenge porn are caused somewhat irreparable injury, which cannot be compensated for, even with millions.

Give me a fucking break. You choose to do something that may come back and bite in you in the ass one day then don't be surprised when your ass starts to sting. I agree revenge porn is a dick thing to do, but stop getting naked on fucking camera if you're worried about it getting out there. And these kind of judgements are way out of line. I still don't even agree with the legality of it. If you gift someone something you don't tell them how they can use it or ask for it back later on. Otherwise don't fucking give it to them/do it for them. It's a problem entirely of their own making, and the law should reflect that.

Nice victim blaming. "Date raping is a dick thing to do, but women shouldn't go on dates if they are worried about it happening."

Bill Borre wrote on Apr 12, 2018, 10:43:
We already know that there is a risk that people using these dolls could become desensitized and their behavior could become normalized to them, so that they go on to harm children. There is absolutely no evidence that using the dolls stops potential abusers from abusing children.

I don't think these statements could possibly be factual because verifying them would involve conducting unethical experiments with control groups.

Also, we have seen a huge reduction of sexual violence correspond with the massive adoption of porn use. I could see a similar effect occuring here. There are ways to run experiments on jailed pedos to measure this effect. Won't happen though due to the stigma. They'll take the "easy" route and ban the dolls.

Name one conservative theocracy (now, or whenever in history) where people live the good life, have better protection under the law, and which isnt a fully blown police state?

I have to admit, when I saw the topic of the article my instant reaction was similar to Cutter's. It's not that I don't support diversity in gaming or indeed any workforce, it's just that I'm so friggin' tired of hearing about this.
Genuinely curious, when was the last time you read an article calling for diversity in the games media? I don't recall seeing one for a long while.

I think a big reason is because people seem to want diversity for diversity's sake - to avoid the stigma of being anti-diversity because it looks bad to people who care about such things, all because media outlets hire from a pool that consists largely of white males. So the answer is forced diversity? That is just stupid to me.
Diversity is always a plus in the US. We're a diverse nation, and the quality and appeal of companies and products improves with diversity. Diversity boosts profits. It also prevents accidental stupidity: a soap dispenser company in Europe built a bunch of automatic soap dispensers that failed to detect the hands of black people. A black person on staff could have prevented that eventuality.

I'm over 40 and have been a music enthusiast since I was 9 years old, but I've recently discovered a genre of music that transcends everything I've ever heard before in my entire life... whole albums, one after another, where every song is pure gold... and none of it is even in English or from the USA. My love affair with American music is officially over.
Far enough. Are you going to tell us what it is?

Isn't it obvious? Swiss yodeling!

Hmm, I don't get it. STEAM has the Witcher3 GOTY on sale for $20, which is really good for those that don't have it yet but then I see that they have the original version (without the expansions) for $20 also, which is also on sale. WTF? Why would anyone grab that when they can get the whole thing for the same price? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

=-Rigs-=

Well, there are people out there that fall for the Nigerian Prince scandal, or think the world is flat, so...
