Cool, the first two CoD games were may favorites after the Medal of Honor trio, still are actually. CoD2 and beyond added the wall of unstoppable enemy reinforcements until you crossed a certain threshold, stopped playing most CoD since. Hopefully lesson learned, make a great single player game that lasts more than 90 minutes with MP and I'll buy in.

I know I'm in the minority here but, as a long time fan of MST3K and Rifftrax movies I find this sad news. Uwe Boll is the modern equivalent of Ed Wood, Bert I. Gordon and Roger Corman.

I plowed through, though, and fell in love. I got better weapons, I got more accurate, I never touched that tranq again, etc. I've played through thrice now, probably identically each time, but enjoyed each time.
You should try playing through The Nameless Mod now. It's very well done, professionally one might say, and quite a bit of humor. Also probably just as long if not longer than the original game, with multiple paths and game endings.

I just hope I'll be able to play it with my overclocked C2Q 9550 and a GTX 670 FTW. The combo did well with the previous game as well as both new Wolfenstein games, but the specs for this gives me concern.

DAY 1 Buy for me! Too many serious games these days, Postal is just great fun and a perfect way to release steam after a long and frustrating day at the office.

They must have really put some work to this, I originally played this game on a Voodoo 3, AMD K6-2 400Mhz, DirectX 6 or 7.0. My entire hard drive back then was only 2 GB!

Even though I am mere months away from 50, I didn't come into the gaming scene until '99. Never played Doom, Wolfenstein 3-D, System Shock, etc. My starting point was Quake II, Unreal and system Shock 2. I tried games later on that were not mouse look and just could not get it. Even had a hard time with GTA III and Vice City while driving.

Sadly, SS1 is one game I never got a chance to enjoy. Would love to try it though if GOG can get this as well.

There apparently is something called System Shock Portable, which is a "free" download (it's called abandonware, so hell, if you can find it, go for it.)
I actually even have my original System Shock box still. God I loved that game. (far more than I loved SS2, to be honest.)

LOL! I have the original CD, the jewel case that it was in, and the box that it all came together in! I could never get this to run in XP or Vista. I got it to run in Win 7 with that latest unofficial patch, even though none of the in game videos would work it was still immensely great fun. I will certainly be in line to get this from GOG.
