I just wished that ZA4 or ZAT had AI buddies ala L4D.

Back 4 Blood beta wouldn't even launch for me. Plus that irritating bit about not being able to play single player unless you're online makes me want to not get this

For those that want a less run and gun and less arcade game, I'd recommend Zombie Army Trilogy (I'm not nearly as enthusiastic about Zombie Army 4, though).

Yes, Zombie Army Trilogy can sometimnes also get as frenetic with waves of zombies. However, it takes more thought and most things don't move quite so fast. The graphics are also good and very immersive.

Zombie Army 4 is rather more arcade and lost much of the feel of Zombie Army Trilogy.

Zombie Army Trilogy frequently comes up for sale at huge discounts. You can get it for about $10 on sale.

Both the campaign and co-op are very good. I don't play online games that much but I played the heck out of ZAT co-op.

ZAT also has quite a variety of different zombie baddies.

The entry fee is reportedly set to be between 3 and 10 euros ($3.52 and $11.73), dependent on the season. Residents and their relatives, children under six and people staying in local hotels will be exempt from the measures.

That's more than fair and about time.

Up to 80,000 people a day have recently been visiting the Italian city, The Times reported. At the height of the pandemic, tourism to Venice dried up, leading to the water in the city’s famous canals becoming noticeably clearer.

80K peeps a day? That's nuckin futs! Every port of call should be doing this. Fuck the cruise industry.

Idiotic statement, the cruise industry is hardly responsible for 80k visitors a day. And with Italian math, the number is about 25% of that. At most you will have three cruise ships in port. That's on average 3k per ship and not all those people disembark. Add in another 3k for people who may be boarding a ship. But most of those come in by flights to the airport outside Venice.

They tried entry fees already and the residents quickly told the gov to remove them.

Am I the only one old enough to remember Comanche: Maximum Overkill on PC in the early Nineties? It spawned a whole series of Comanche games. As I understand it this is a successor after THQ acquired the rights in 2016.

Nope (46), Played the heck out of that game. Loved flying NOE in the canyons and popping up on some tanks. I thought the voxel technology was amazing.

I guess I'm just tired of all the broadband for all, Musk's satellites, fiber to the home....blah blah blah news that comes around every month or so. Municipalities have frequently lost in court in their efforts to supply competitively priced broadband to users. Obama did nothing, Trump the same. Now Biden wants to pour BILLIONS into infrastructure and it still won't bring fiber any faster to my home.

The .gov could have parternered with Musk and worked with him on Starlink and people in the sticks could start actually seeing something than that slow ass Hughes net. (Although the chick in their commercials is hot). Some people I know in the beta have been getting great speed though.

I've seen sensational articles like this that promised faster speeds from existing technology\wires but it all goes nowhere. https://money.cnn.com/2016/05/16/technology/gfast-internet-speeds/

Sadly, we will be forever beholden to our ISPs and the crumbs of higher speeds at ever increasing costs.

A cloud-based operating system sounds like the worst idea in the long, sad history of bad technology ideas.

We're talking about the FIRST company to sign-up for NSA's PRISM program who was receptive to the NSA's desire to use the Kinect to spy on people.

I'm all for CI/CD OS but not one where Microsoft's computers power it and send me a stream. That's where I draw the line.

I am in enterprise IT and this product (while not necessarily new) will help lots of companies. Now, many products like Citrix are very complicated and running your own VDI can incur high costs. Managing hardware and the OS has become the bane to many sysadmin folks. If it's not firmware that needs to be deployed, then it's MS's buggy patch pipeline, security, hardware refreshes etc etc.

I'd rather my employees power on their home PC or laptop and have a cloud OS that they can work on securely and be always up. They close their session then when they are on the road or at home, they can open up their session again and be right where they left off.

I dunno. I am pretty much meh at this point. I was one of those "you can have my Windows 7 when you take it from my cold dead PC" but I have been pleasantly surprised with Win10.

Granted, I use Open-shell to bring back the old start menu and had to get a new printer but beyond that, it's been alright. I will probably get 11.

Gone are the days when I would overclock CPUs, GPUs etc and tweak the OS to within an inch of it's life.

I guess I want my OS like my mini vans, stable ride and can do lots of shit.

Sometimes I feel like I'm alone in actually being turned off by weapon crafting zaniness and the general over-the-top guns, without hard games keep pushing that sort of stuff.

Nope, not alone. I have skipped plenty of games because I grew tired of crafting a rock, stick and twine to make a bow and arrow.

Just give me some melee weapons and firearms. I do appreciate games that modify such items though in that perhaps they get damaged as they are used or perhaps firearms that jam.

Is there a way to play this without all the MP stuff baked into the main game?

The last time there was a free weekend I thought I'd check it out since I love Wildlands so much.

Well, okay, the first five minutes of gameplay is cool but then I go to this rebel "base" and I see all these dudes running around with their gamer tags over their head. Kinda took me out of the game world and immersiveness.

Not only that, the UI looks expressly designed for MP (at least it looks like they REALLY want you to play mp).

Sadly no. I worked on that mod making AI navmeshes for some of the maps. Those were the good old days. The battlefieldsingleplayer.com website went offline last year. There is an archive of it somewhere and most of the files can now be found on moddb.

I will have to check out that BFBC2 mod.

Hopefully the people who are WAY smarter than me can take the VU tools and get some of the good old maps going again in SP mode.

At 46 now, my modding days are well behind me.

VU has introduced modding (and bots) into BF3 but I have not delved to deep into it.

I hope that the team at least adds in some AI modes like they did with the Star Wars games.

I'd gladly pay 59.99 if it had a mp mode that allowed me to play against AI bots
I'm in your boat.

Have you any recommendations for a modern version of the BF2 mod AIX2?

Also, have you tried the bot mods for BFBC2?
