Look, I am not a Trump\Musk fan but if it costs 416 MILLION and only will get fiber to 43000 homes, that's roughly $9000 a home.

Yeah, how about I just give you a Starlink unit and call it a day. Everyone I know who has Starlink has been very happy with it.

Amazon's satellite service is coming to it's good to have competition in this space.

Yup, I really like being able to mix and match modes, maps, loadouts, time periods (ww2 vs modern etc etc). I don't play online any longer as I don't have the time or commitment that I did when I was young so I appreciate being able to fire a game up and play against bots.

I hope they have a Battlefield Portal mode where I can setup games with AI bots. That's all I really want.
You can do that now with 2042. So you're hoping they continue that trend?

I just hope it works with or has it's own server customization (Portal) that I can add my own bots, choose maps, load outs etc.

At 49, I don't really have time to play online any longer but I appreciate being able to play a few rounds on various maps against bots.

I told my company, whose gone all in on MS 2FA, onedrive and wants to move to O365 cloud version, they don't have 100% uptime we need a fall back when (not if) it goes down. Crickets. 2FA already went down twice this year for hours. Few could remote in. So I am just eating my popcorn waiting for the inevitable and predicable results so I can say at the next team meeting "I told you so".

Yup. I tell our managers that the cloud is just another persons computer.

Looks cool, but would rather it be a 21st century version of Sniper Elite. Enjoy the sneaking around stuff. I dunno, didn't really like Sniper Elite series so will keep an eye out for this.

I didn't know that they sold a modern 7800 euro-pad. It's even compatible with original consoles. I might have to get one.

Ugh, not much good I can remember about the 7800. Mom got me one when all the kids were getting NES. Ugh.

Well, cool, I guess there's probably somebody on earth who hasn't tried the Division 2 by now, ten years later.

I never tried it. Gave the first one a try but didn't scratch that itch for a tactical shooter.

How is 2 for single player? Can I get bot teammates ala Ghost Recon Wildlands?

I've been generally happy with my Dish service. Sure, every couple years I have to play the "you raised my price so lower it or I am going to just go to Youtube tv". They always do lower the price and I consider my payment to be good seeing as I have more channels than Youtube TV.

Even during the big storms we had in socal last year, my service never went out.

I appreciate that I can add the Dish app to a Firestick and enjoy my Dish content from any wifi source. And I appreciate being able to watch my DVR stuff from anywhere.

Sure, you can do all of this with Youtube TV but they just keep raising prices. I will keep Dish as long as my price does not go up. If it does, I may go to Cox or bite the bullet and go to Youtube tv.

I have Netflix and Amazon video so I cringe at the thought of having to buy multiple streaming services ala carte.

I remember the good old days of GameTap. They had all the old console games available for online gaming. Some could be downloaded as well.

Loved that service. Was sad to see it go.

Wish someone could give me retro streaming games for something like $2.99 a month. I'd happily pay that for a big selection and nice interface.

lol, I had a 7800. All the kids in the neighborhood were getting NESs and my mom got me a 7800. Wasn't mad. Some of the games were okay. Really liked Ballblazer. But largely went unplayed.

Really miss the BF2 days. Worked on a mod team and it was some of the best, most challenging fun I've had with my PC.

Guys making amazing maps, amazing vehicles. I'm happy the mod scene is still alive but those days it was something else.

Good on the Dell employees. Corps need to learn to adapt or die. This isn't the 1950s where the factory floor model of management works any further.

Agreed.

I only returned to the office because me and the dogs were getting fat with all the snacking I was doing. I don't mind going in but that may change if gas prices rise and they are set to do in CA.

You liberals that think the gun manufacturers are to blame are fucking hilarious.

You'll find any reason to blame anyone but yourselves, your fucked up families, your schools, your faults in fucking up todays youth.

Guns have been around for decades in video game. Playing Doom did not make me want to go blast up a school. You people are a joke and need to take a hard look at the society you've created and say hey...maybe we fucked up our kids.

Plenty of gang bangers shooting up neighborhoods and no one ever says...hey, maybe Call of Duty that had an AR-15 made them do it.

I've been an AR shooter for more than a decade and I've never seen a single ad geared towards kids.

Great actor, and further reminder not to ever hike alone.
He looked familiar to me in his photo, but looking over his IMDB page I'll be damned if I can figure out what it is I am remembering him from...

I know him from Oceans Thirteen where he played the tech genius that Pacino's character brought in to do the AI computer stuff.
