Well, this 40-something die hard Star Wars fan gives this news a resounding "meh".

I was entirely turned off playing Ghost Recon Breakpoint after having so much fun in Wildlands. Not really sure how I feel about this.

I still play through SW: Jedi Academy because the missions are fun and levels are pretty big.

With all the amazing SW planets, I don't see this making anyone truly happy who may want Coruscant vs Naboo etc.

I am worried they will try to make everyone happy and no one will be happy in the end

As a long time L4D and L4D2 fan...I was super excited to see this game. Then I saw all the DLC and monetization. Kinda bummed by it really.

Whoever buys it is a complete fool. Satellite TV, if not all broadcast TV, is pretty much DOA.

Wife and I have been very happy with Dish.

To buy online services plus a high speed internet service will be far more expensive than the under-$100 we pay for Dish now.

As it stands, we are fine with Cox's slowest speed as we don't stream and I don't do online games so for browsing and buying shit, we are fine.

Not sure why everyone thinks cord cutting is this panacea of home entertainment.

Wow, didn't realize there were so many gaming streaming services....https://www.techworm.net/2020/07/cloud-gaming-services.html

I am old enough to remember GameTap so I may have to dip my toes in the water with one of these since my pc is getting a little long in the tooth.

I haven't studied the legalities involved but I wonder how you go about proving someone was trafficked.

As far as I have read in local news reports here in San Diego, where the original GDP suit has been filed, the plaintiffs state they were underage, filmed performing sex acts, then video was distributed.

I believe that falls under the trafficked moniker. The girls were not run-aways or kidnapped and put into these situations.

I love the graphics on these games but wish they'd inlude a quick mission generator. I long for the days of Janes and their Fighter Antholog series.

Like the art style. Looks like Brass Brigade that I play on Steam.

Too bad reviews are looking bad. Wish they could do AI bots for mp but I won't hold my breath.

Thanks!

Still running the same Corsair Carbide Cube case for several years now. Really love the design over the traditional tower design.

Can we get a remastering of Soldier of Fortune? Loved shooting limbs off in that one.

If they do that then I need a remake of Kingpin. LOVED that game.

That's already happening.

I think in those days pc cases were probably slow to change out so the button was just decoration. This was before even the Lian Li cases became popular.

Nah, I was just thinking in terms of another 'thing' trotted out that may never really get utilized like Intel's MMX.

I remember being so hyped when I got a P1 w/ MMX back in the day. SO FUNKY!

What about the "turbo" button on my 486. Not quite sure what that thing did.

DUDE! I remember those! A friend of mine had one with a clock-like LED display that went from 33 to 66 when you hit the turbo button. Were we able to overclock 200% clock speeds with a physical button? DID THAT HAPPEN? Or am I crazy? I was pretty young at the time.

A lot of PCs had that in the Win '95 days.
A hardware switch that overclocked and increased fan speeds.

Edit: I love wikipedia, an article for seemingly everything
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turbo_button

Interesting that it contradicts my memory... Says rarely used with Pentiums, but that's the only thing I ever saw them on as a kid myself. I guess I was too young for noticing the earlier usages.
Also, interesting that its actual/original purpose was to slow computers down so they could play old games... Turbo ON was the default apparently.

I played L4D2 with my brother and nephew just last month. The game has serious longevity. New content would be welcome.

This. L4D2 is pretty much my palate cleaner when it comes to zombie games. Never played any other as much as I've played this.

I don't want to craft, do parkour or have to loot box weapons. I just want to navigate from point A to point B and kill zombies along the way.

Ironically, I don't mind State of Decay. I do play that more for the action though.
