This apparently operates beyond the laws of physics, as the creators say this adds adding no "noticeable difference" to latency.

Actually, theoretically, wireless is faster than wired since electricity travels much slower through copper than electromagnetic waves through air.

Even if we ignore DNF and Aliens, Borderlands had terrible PC UI, and UI is pretty damn important in RTS games, especially Homeworld which has 3D movement.

Not bothering to read the clickbait article, but MS' "Xbox" division includes their phones too, which is the real money loser. Xbox is the thing that's keeping that division from performing even worse.

No, there needs to be a 2.

There was a 2... it failed... they shut it down.

But the reason it failed, as far as most AC 1 fans are concerned - including myself, was because 2 wasn't really a sequel... it was a completely different game with the name AC 2.

So, yes... they need to make a TRUE AC 2, but I'm not sure if that would be a success in this day and age. If they put a little GW2 mix in it (AC 1 with Modern Graphics Engine, and reward everyone for kills / let everyone revive, like GW2 )... they might have something that would be marketable... especially if Turbine comes out the gate with F2P, like GW2.

I know the emoticon is pretty hard to decipher, but my text when you quote me clearly shows a wink.

They really fucked with cooking in yesterday's patch. They removed quite a few of the basic ingredients from the cooking master, and put them in as loot. So now you have to find sticks of fucking butter out of bandit bags and such. I mean... what?

400 levels in your crafting profession, and even trying to get to 50 is a major fucking chore... Does anyone actually find it FUN that way?

Creston

Fucked cooking? Welcome to every other profession where drops are required to get your materials. Except now those professions are even more screwed since we get butter and chocolate instead of cloth, leather and fine crafting mats.

So with a game you have to alt-tab and copy/paste the data in? That isn't really as slick as I would like. There are apps that embed into your browser that will autofil your unique user/password in by site, those are cool. But again it's not as slick with a game client, unless I'm missing something.

Is there a known password application that can autofill games? Or am I missing it with KeePass, I watched a couple tutorials, very basic. In some ways I could create a spreadsheet and just put each game and create a crazy password myself.

http://keepass.info/help/base/autotype.html#autoglobal

It does support autofilling without having to alt tab. It just requires more work setting it up.

Er... nobody had a GW2 account 3 years ago. They also don't specify any password requirements. GW2 accounts are completely new and then override any GW1 account credentials you have.

What? Bullshit. I have a 40+ character randomly generated password including symbols as my GW2 password.

For my own knowledge... Since many games aren't adding second level authentication (wrongly), do you simply copy/paste it in or do you have an app that is able to paste it in automatically for these games? I ask because I need to step up my game for these games without a second level authentication method, but I needs something handy to handle something like a 40 character password.

My fav 2nd level authentication method is a pin/w random numpad you click.

Go to 1:40 of this movie to see:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLI9bCb3wzo&feature=relmfu

Why can't they all just do something like this? The problem goes away.

I use KeePass, which has an option to automatically enter your credentials, including a method that combines simulated keypresses and pasting, which is supposed to defeat keyloggers.

Pretty hilarious steam doesn't have a QR code image on that site that directly links to the app item on Itunes or Android Market

This is what QR codes are supposed to be for, save you time in situations where it makes sense.

For Android: Go here on a computer. Log into the same Google account as your phone. Click install. Watch app automatically install on your phone.

Kindle Fire is such a major fork of Android that you basically should never assume that something for Android is on Kindle Fire.

Why would anyone be against this? Unlike other companies that go after pirates, CD Projekt isn't doing anything to legitimate customers. Literally the only people who have anything to worry about are people who aren't even customers.

So you've never had issues with RIAA or MPAA's tactics? I'm sure a lot more people would be against this if CD Projekt were replaced with RIAA or MPAA in this article.

You don't need a demo; this game speaks well enough in it's merits and reviews.

As long as you like the genre (action RPG) then you should like The Witcher and The Witcher 2.

I like action RPGs and I couldn't stand The Witcher. There are too many design issues I couldn't stand, like the ridiculous amount of going back and forth between only a few locations, bestiary requirements, poor alchemy GUI, lack of a useful fast travel system, boring combat, and probably other stuff I forgot about.

Origin lets you use set a profile nickname ("Origin ID"), similar to how Steam lets you set a separate nickname. You can change it freely at any time. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that's probably the thing that's being used, not your email address or your original EA account name.

Where do they allow that? I see no option of doing so. My Origin ID is stuck on my EA name.

We attempted to upgrade the processor on our database boxes. Both of our servers were simultaneously taken offline while the new hardware was being put in place. During this period of time, the file systems on BOTH boxes were destroyed. If this boggles your mind to the point that you can't believe it could happen, you would be in the same exact boat we are! It seems almost statistically impossible, however, it is in fact what happened.

Er, no. They powered off the machines then replaced the processors. The problem came after they powered them back on.

So I guess I was right. They just jacked the processors out while the machine was still running.

Just create one of each!

You don't need to create a new character for each body type since you can change it between rounds.
