Are you talking about Nazis, or implying that the US army is being made to commit evil acts under fear of death?

Have had it streamed for a few weeks now. Got on last night, unlocked within 10mins... played for 5 hours. Now need sleep.

Absolutely brilliant so far. I enjoyed Doom...but I now see what a real blockbuster game looks like (again, could just be lack of sleep).

Going to start building my own "Dog" this weekend.

Hump DON'T do it mate!!!

Try the GuildWars beta or open beta for WoW.

Anything other than that life sapping game!

EQ2 = premature release (or so I continually see)

to Halsy..all those posts ago (#3)

I jsut have to say I loved Guildwars. I knew nothing about it until 2 days before WPE. I spent a lot of time playing it (addicted even).

A lot of people were complaining in game (mainly about the difference between GW and WoW), were pointing out "faults" that were actually just lack of documentation with the WPE.
Example, you could bind keys for closet target etc (to any key/mouse button/joystick) in game.

i agree it would have been nice to have included a good readme.txt or (even better) a tutorial that explains a bit more rather than just combat.

Personally I felt the skill system was close to perfect. Being a tank was fun! And for all you DAOC player... yes, there WAS player collision in PVP, but NOT in cities or outposts. Brilliant!!!

The crafting was also quite interesting.. heck, for the first time in my mmorpg life I actually enjoyed it. (MC Tailor in DAOC...kill me now kind of fun)

Enough of my wannabe review.

I guess I am just saying people need to try it when they get the chance, rather than listen to the rantings of WoW/EQ fanboi's (which Halsy is not!).

Well after that WPE, I can safely say I am addicted.

That it one fun game. They have taken everything I hated about mmorpgs (played most) and debuffed+nuked the hell out of it.

If we were able to preorder GW in Oz, I would without hesitation!

I am really very impressed!

Admittedly I would like to see more character customisation. But I am sure with Armour etc, it would make the difference. The PCs look great. Outstanding even.

Server performance was pretty stable for me... although I have yet to see a 5-5 guild match.

For reference: I am a mmorpg fan (as well as most other genres).
If you enjoy TFC teamplay; Diablo2 pickup and playability (TM); or Action RPGs. I highly recommend giving this a go.

I am currently Willing work to speed up so I can get back into it

That is some sweet looking models.

If it wasn't for the fact that DAOC sapped me of 2 years of my life, only to crush my spirit with TOA... I might have been interested again.

Erratic pretty much summed up my feelings.

I did enjoy D3. Scared the shit out of me at first (till I got the formula). But there are just so many games on the horizon that I just can't get psyched about this.
everything is sooo close...

If it offers enough new twists in the D3 gameplay, then I will definietely give it a go.

EDIT: gogo super spelling skills!

People in the Aussie gov't responsible for that type game censorship thing are quite similar to people who are closely allied with the Democratic Party in the U.S.

Woah, Larry you really don't know wtf you are talking about.

meh, time to move on.

meh, seriously forget about this one guys.

There is no chance in hell they wont release hl2.

Besides, just like I said with LSLarry, the game is already buy-able from quite a few shops (despite it's lack of ratings/"ban") in Syd and Canberra.

I don't even think we need to bother with mentioning Steam right?

Now hopefully this and GTA SA will finally make the ratings peeps sit up and smell the 21st century

Marvel man myself. Although most Women heroes are of that proportion, some aren't sooo bad.

as for "life folks".. hmm don't agree there. I think if you eat at Hooters, your view may be slighty skewed

It just seems like devs can't think outside the publisher norm. Again, I totally understand the value of sex selling products. But it just seems like game companies are afraid of stepping away from the Lara Croft mold.
Freeman (HL) showed us Duke/Doom guy isn't the only male hero FPS gamers can empathise with.
