BrutalDeluxe, what are you talking about? The midgame is very non linear. You have your choice of when you want to do the scientist missions (if at all) and when you don't. You have your choice of joining Freedom/Duty or not, etc. It's only after that that it becomes linear once again, and the ending is a somewhat linear disappointment except that you can choose how to end it :).

Once you get a scope + Strelok's AK + armor, and any weapons after that, it becomes much much easier to stick out in firefights simply because you don't die right away. At least that's how it was in 1.00 -- I haven't played Stalker since then..

Coop would be way more fun than "freeplay". Unless they majorly overhaul the game, doing randomly generated missions is quite lame.

EDIT: Plus, the best way to climb to #1 in the original game was to kill off many stalkers, which you could do by wiping out duty/freedom in midgame :P.

I don't know, are they? They had a female pirate lord in the latest movie, so probably not much. Anyway the Age of Pirates game has that female character now, so its okay.

Also try the POTC Build mod for anyone thinking about getting into PotC.

All of which are made by the same company, Akella, and are pretty much the same in gameplay. They don't by the way use the PotC lore, except for PotC which sprinkles just a tiny little bit (you get to fight the Black Pearl all the way at the end), and otherwise unrelated to PotC completely.

I want more pirate games, and a PotC branded game to actually let me do pirating. Being one of the pirate lords would be nice, maybe Jack Sparrow in his earlier days when he was in control of the Black Pearl (perhaps make a game about how they find the Aztec gold), or a game about Jack Sparrow finding a new ship, building a fleet, and finding the Fountain of Life.

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if they made a game about the Fountain of Life (especially if there are no more movies), but it will probably be lame like this.

That's odd. Throughout Double Agent, you had some choices to make, saving Lambert was one of them. I personally saved him, and then got to disarm the last nuke (epilogue level) as well, so that clearly makes me the good guy, eh? So why would Sam's name still be murky?

Why don't they make a game, I don't know, about pirating and plundering instead of a crappy action-RPG thing? I want to fight a battle of the pirate lords against the British armada, not run around as Jack Sparrow..

Apo, that's because they probably used DirectX 9.0c from December 2005 to develop the game.

So is this still suck or can you control your other AI teammates and have a little minimap to give them orders with?

Ported well? The UI was 10 steps back from Neverwinter Nights. They couldn't even get the inventory screens right for people with resolutions bigger than 640x480

I don't see how anyone can have high hopes for this if its cross platform.

Does anyone care? Why don't they announce when the demo actually comes instead of the "demo is slipping". It's not like people have been drinking the Overlord hype and are waiting for it with their mouths open..

Is this coming out on the 360? It just doesn't seem like it would click very well on my PC, considering they don't even have proper 3840x1280 resolution support.

Keeper Usiel, what are you on?

Shadow of the Horned Rat isn't even scifi.

Warhammer 40000 Chaos Gate came out after StarCraft.

Final Liberation Warhammer Epic 40000 is turn-based not real-time.

So yeah, you're still wrong.

EDIT: Fixed a spelling mistake

Umm, Warhammer 40K was an RTS game back in the 90s? Really?

Is it going to be real-time in the same sense as Knights of Honor? Might be good then..

EDIT: Never mind, looks like a starcraft ripoff..

The AI wasn't as good as you think, they just did the audio and visuals really well and gave the immersion of the AI being really smart.

Is this going to be more like GR1? Or are you still stuck only controlling one person and having your teammates as idiots?

Oh 10 new maps too? Awesome, I'm going to play this some more this weekend :). Hope they brought back the Moscow Highway this time around.

EDIT: Full changelog is available at http://www.redorchestragame.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19002 since it takes a little bit of effort to find it :(.
