What an ass kicking, first play of the game says it all, Denver gave the game to Seattle... not to say Seattle didn't play great. Normally I would have hated the game seeing as it really was quite lame, but for the first time I can remember, I actually cared who won. Seahawks FTW!

lol, oh Rambo. I remember Rambo III where the Pentagon whipped up their Bravado propaganda in the film for Americans to be happy that supplies and money were being used to incite radicals (Rambo helps the Taliban).

yeh funny how short term america's memory is for that kind of thing

usa funded and trained islamic terrorists in the first place - talk about karma.. thats it

Yup, in yet another proxy war with the Soviets the CIA funds terrorists (well at this point they are attacking the Russians so they are called freedom fighters) through Pakistan and the Saudis. Once the Soviets pull out America simply packs up and leaves the Afghanis to the CIA funded mercs. Then the ex-CIA assets turn on America and thus begins the huge escalation of the American intelligence industrial complex built to protect Americans from the monsters created by the very same intelligence agency. America reaps what it sows but fails utterly to realize it time after time.

I like how you can trade in any PS3 but only certain 360's, MS sure doesn't wan't those old bricks they sold you.

Payday 2 free this month!?

Yup.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/01/30/playstation-plus-february-preview/

Oh wow... I just finally started getting into the original Payday and finally cleared up enough space on my PS3 to get Dragon's Dogma downloaded. Now the sequel is free AND Metro Last Light now too? (and all of a whopping 2gb of free space)

So... is there any point in keeping the original Payday?

You know the PS3 uses standard 2.5" 5400 hard drives? $50 makes any PS3 a 500 gig'er, and installation is easy peasy. If you start Dragon's Dogma chances are you'll not play anything else for quite awhile.

oh, fired up BL2 (for free) on the PS3 last night just to check it out. Ouch. Even on a 46 inch tv, laying in bed 12 feet away, feels like I am in a tunnel with the 55-60 FOV. Isn't really playable.

Ya really annoying, though after a couple hours my brain adjusted and it was playable.

Wow, that zombie bees article is scary. I've been following this for a while. Christ, if the bees go, food is going to become astronomically expensive go away.

FTFY

We can pollinate food crops without bees, it's just ridiculously tedious work and it would require a shitload of workers per crop. Cutter is right, food would be hugely expensive. Of course, without all the crazy stupid subsidies food would already be a lot more expensive.

We can pollinate our human cultivated food sources. Wild sources will collapse, devastating the food chain.

Wasn't the XB1 running more then one operating system simultaneously in order to get all the TV stuff to work? Sounds like typical MS software bloat to me, not going to fix that with an 8% saving by disabling kinect features. Looks like PS4 gets the best version of the multi console titles this time around.

EDIT oh and lol at the 13gig patch for DR3 that didn't fix the lag issues... was kinda pissed it went XB1 exclusive but not so much anymore, they deserve each other.

Hmm, seems like Epic was done with GoW and wanted to move on to something else. MS wanted another GoW because MS figures that will force PPL to buy the XBO. So MS buys the IP and gets another dev to make an XBO exclusive GoW. This is what happens when bean counters make decisions about games instead of the PPL who make the games. Wonder what Epic has in mind and if they will still shill for MS.

Now I'm beginning to wonder if Deep Down is being done by the Dragons Dogma crew. Finally killed 'the dragon', game over? nope, just changed gear. My next battle was with an eye (beholder), took me at least 20 min to bring that sucker down, awesome RPG.

Nice, looks like a fun game. Large battles could be sweet, assaulting a castle would be bloody marvelous. Realism is a tough problem though, depending on what they mean by that. Realism is two armies face to face ready to do battle and you dying in the first volley of arrows.

Graham Henderson, the head of the Music Canada (formerly the Canadian Recording Industry Association) wrote a blog post late last year lamenting musicians' earnings, a situation he blames on the Internet allowing a few to "amass staggering, unprecedented wealth" while musicians toil for tiny incomes.

Ya! Damn right! It's the recording industries job to amass staggering unprecedented wealth on the backs of musicians. Damn pirates are taking our jobs of ripping off musicians and we will not stand for it!

What a stupid article. Or more precisely, the point he is making is stupid. Hardcore fans want the game NOW and buy it on release at full price because the price is irrelevant. More casual or experimental players buy it on a sale. It really isn't rocket science. It certainly isn't "bad for gamers".

QFT, if anything steam sales have resurrected the PC market which is good for gamers and developers... and if anything is hurting day one purchases it's the developers who release unfinished broken shit and paid for reviewers out right lying about the product.

Bah! Ship now fix later was one of the things that turned me off of PC gaming in the first place... now it's standerd practice across all platforms, and of course software companies are never held accountable for shipping unfinished products.

And yet they know China is spying and stealing state and corporate secrets, not pegging their currency, etc. and its still business as usual with them. What a fucking joke.

Never bite the hand that feeds you. Corporations are earning billions because of China, therefore the government apparatus will not rock the boat with China. America doesn't do what's right, they only serve their own self interest.
Dude, its not the corporations that are the biggest issue. The issue is that if china merely stops buying our new debt every month (they don't even have to sell off any of their holdings), we'd be screwed.
And that's only a problem because of the massive deficits we've gotten so used to running.

Yes I understand that, I was just over simplifying it. You do know that China buys (parks) it's money in US treasury because the US consumer is a major driving factor in their economy, to the tune of over 300 billion a year... and that part of the US deficit is directly related to that huge import\export imbalance... and the whole thing is related directly to US corporations.

I'm no international economist, but this is the picture I put together based on what's been going on. China opened it's doors to outside investment. American corporations moved their production to China to increase their profit margins, increase, it was done not to make a profit but to make MORE profit. This took a job from an American and gave it to a Chinese person, this also took an American export and turned it into an American import. This puts a huge pressure on the American economy. Not only do you have less employment opportunities (less income taxes) and more unemployed people (more social programs) but you also have a huge trade deficit. So China is buying up American bonds to keep America going so Americans can buy their shit... all so people who do nothing but play with money can make a killing... and the kicker is they move their money offshore so they don't even have to pay their fair share. Corporate America is bankrupting the USA so people with money can make even more money and they own enough politicians to make sure it stays just as it is... although at this point I don't think it's even possible to reverse the trend... but hey maybe that VP will trickle down a fiver or two to the now, what is it, 40 or 50 million Americans who can't make ends meet... meh fucking pisses me off and then you see these same people who got fucked over actually defending these greedy ass mothe... bah humbug, I'm a gonna go play vids.

Yay all my dirty money is gone and I can play GTAO again... well except that I started playing Dragons Dogma and it's friken awesome! Seriously one of the best RPGs since, since, Baldurs Gate! So GTAO is gonna have to wait now cause I found a new addiction.

I love Dragon's Dogma, I really wish they had released a PC version of it.

Ya, it's a good game. Has a few problems, but finally an RPG that doesn't hold your hand. That first time I was underground and my lantern ran out of oil, and of course I wasn't carrying extra oil because what game makes you refill your lantern, plus dark is can't see shit dark. No leveling monsters, armor or weapons, and brilliant combat. Can't think of any game where I've had to run away so many times because I was so way out of my league with the monster I encountered... or even a game where I see the suns about to set and I'm looking for a safe place to ride out the night. Exploring is dangerous as hell, heh I'm LVL 35 right now and STILL need to be very cautious when outside. I'm going to rack up serious hours on this one. Gotta like PS+, didn't even know about this game but picked it up for free to give it a try.
