Ill give it about 2 months before it goes back to free. I think they would actually have a better chance at telling everyone its going to be like 4.99 a month if they are going to charge anything. Make enough to pay your overhead and like a previous poster said make it great then relaunch.
I wasn't involved but why not just give them a free month and suck it up? Better to get as many as you can back into it.
I loved the old school Syndicate, being able to set trees and people on fire back then was just over the top. I wasn't a fan of hearing the new version of Syndicate was going to be a FPS but honestly i thought it looked really good for a game that is what 4 months away still? Plenty of time to add the small graphical details etc..
If Lucas Arts didn't let Galaxy go free to play you can bet they aren't going to let SWTOR go free to play. EA loves money too so don't see it happening anyways. There could be 5 guys left playing and EA would still charge them 15$ a month.

Wow worst response every. I won't be buying PC games anymore from Id with an attitude like that. Way to alienate your customers. What it comes down to is this .. id putting effort into making a quality product that's it. Nothing more too it.
I like Rage. Is it the best game ever? No... Does it have some flaws yep a few like guys that lean out to shoot they lean out like a mile, and the voice's of the bandits say the same stuff very often. But there's a good suspense, the graphics are nice.
I'm not big on games that are liner which this definatly isn't open world but its not to bad. I would definatly compare it to borderlands. It's bit harder and the graphics are better.I actually like it better than borderlands.

Shame they give a good name like Game of Thrones to some company that does horse racing games and bicycling games.
12-14 hours or 200-300 hours in Skyrim. Looks like ill be getting war in the north when steam has a big sale on it around the 4th of July. I don't know i might still be playing Skyrim.
So is this like Oblivion with guns / Boarderlands? The few trailers ive seen look pretty good. Is it open world? Been looking for something to fill the gap till BF3 / Skyrim come out.

I don't think they've announced anything about an open beta yet, but I'm sure it will happen. Buying the game also includes 1 month of play time.
A betting man would say that a month or two after launch there will be buddy keys / free 7 day trial or what have you. It makes sense to try and gain some customers from the ones that drop after the first month. So while you might not get to check it out for free right off im sure it wont be long until you can.
OH YEAH!! Ill get me lots of Skyrim in and BF3 then have like 2 weeks off for Christmas to go darkside on some republic bitches!!!
Skyrim, Battlefield 3 and Lord of the rings war in the North will keep me content through the holidays. It sounds like Diablo 3 is going to be released right around the time Path of Exile is going to be released. Could be interesting.
Hells yeah love getting a good game for dirt cheap!
