Bare bones? You do realize that half of the bitching and moaning going on about this game is that they are trying to put to much into at the start? (Which is a valid point but doesn't bother me personally) I think this is just the arena (flight) module you can play. Which doesn't have anything in it but flying around and shooting at things

I remember when people shit their britches when games were on 4 floppy disk. What do you have like 30 ships (guessing) in High res, in addition to their interiors. Animations for each ship and their movable parts graphics and effects for a bunch of weapons, explore able stations and who knows what else.

I just hope that the patches can install while you play or patch days are going to be a bitch.

Actually they don't. It states both on Kickstarter and the RSI Tos that the game is subject to change and may be delayed. Kickstarter clearly states in the kickstarter faq (quote followsthis comment its a long read), It also states in RSI's TOS link and quote follows comment.

You can bitch and moan or hell even talk out your ass like Cutter or you can accept its pretty much like every other game out there in development thats in Pre Alpha. So its going to get delayed and yes content is going to change.

Why wouldn't you have first person in space? The whole objective of going to space is finding planets, mining asteroids etc. I don't think astronauts just sit in their seat and fly around, they do things like space walks etc.. So yeah I guess you can call it filler but how can you say that being able to board a persons ship and take it over in a fire fight is a bad thing? Or land on a planet get in your scout car and explore?

Im buying this compared to CrapXXL and Simcity this looks much better. Paradox usually does great with things you can do in a game but usually the games are pretty buggy for awhile. Least that's been my experience with them

Sims 3 sold 1.4 million copies in the first week, Sims 4 on the other hand took over 4 months to clear that. Granted 1.4 million isn't bad for most games in 4 months but that's EA for you.

Also great if you don't want your kids on your PC clicking on monkeys to win free Iphones. Never know when one of them might stumble onto your porn.

This game was so epic back in 1993 I couldn't believe you could set trees on fire during a gun fight lol was mind blowing back then.

Sounds like Elite Dangerous except you can land on planets and the mining system doesn't make you want to scream. I guess on the bright side this has 270 billion systems where you can explore by actually landing on a crappy looking planet and mining or building something on it. Instead of flying by a sun that looks like all the other suns.

Its a sweet game Im on my 1st play through in California now. I plan on doing at least 2 more play throughs now that I know exactly how important some skills are and what is effective in combat. I also want to do another play through with all animal tamers and long ranged rangers. A group of melee with explosives would probably be pretty fun and pretty damn hard.

Molyneux tells so many lies he can't keep them straight. He does the pity me act im a nice guy don't be mean to me. I have no sympathy for the guy. He plays the role of a sheep well but its an act.

Well least he can admit it unlike many others *cough* Richard Garriott, Bill Roper. To be fair at least Peter Molyneux and Richard Garriott actually made some games that were good in the last 30 years.

A wealth of content = 3 playable monsters and 16 maps? For 60$? Sounds like a pretty crappy deal.
