I don't understand why anyone is even buying a switch. It's underperforming hardware, all of the configurations are awkward, the joycons are small and cramped, the kickstand is a joke, there is almost nothing worth playing on it except for zelda which is available on the wii u, there's really nothing new in mario kart, and the extra online features haven't even launched yet.

That said, very happy with my purchase so far.
I completely agree, the device's home screen looks baron and the e-shop is just as bad. The device desperately needs a streaming video service app (Hulu or Netflix) as well. The launch feels like it was rushed with no real online content or even the coveted Virtual Console which would have been a saving grace. The battery doesn't give it as much life as even the Vita which is sad for those looking to go the handheld route. Combine this with the Wifi and JoyCon issues and I wonder too why it's selling.

Like you, I'm happy to finally have the device in hand, it feels very solid and well built.

2.7m units in the first month ... that's pretty fucking impressive! My hope is that it entices more devs to take a shot at the Switch but I'm worried we'll see what we did with the Wii and it'll be shit titles flooding the market. Nintendo needs to bring back their Quality Seal program that they had with the NES.

I stopped using United after I was delayed in Denver for over 18 hours in ONE TRIP (on my way and my return flight). I'm almost at a point where I'd rather take a train across country than deal with airlines. It used to be great flying, but now I dread it anytime I have to fly. Good to see that the airline couldn't give a shit about its customer though.

$60 for this. Giggle
Like most re-releases, this will hit $30 within a month or two and be $15 by Black Friday. I really enjoyed it, then again I grabbed it for $10 quite a while ago from Amazon. I'll buy it again, but that $15 is the most I'm willing to put out for it.

The closed alpha was pretty good, HIGHLY looking forward to the Beta and release.
That encouraging considering it received pretty underwhelming praise at E3. Glad to hear good experiences with it.

Color me excited for this, I used to play a shit ton of the werewolf rpg back in the day. Not sure how I managed to get my girlfriend (now wife) to stick around with my nerd at such a high level...

Glad it's still getting support, but you lost me at the no respawn. While I can hold my own in the MP, I really need to be able to respawn in order to hold my interest.

Twilight Princess for the Wii, granted that was a long time ago.

A ported GCN title doesn't count.
So a ported Wii U title does, but a ported GCN doesn't? Regardless, I was completely on the bandwagon but $300 seems a bit high, to me anyway. Also, aside from Mario, Mario Kart, and Zelda, I can't see anything that would push me to pick it up for this price. Hell, I still haven't even considered getting a Wii U just because I still consider that thing to be way overpriced.

Not for me this time, I'll wait it out - thanks anyway Nintendo.

So it it more of an open world game? I got kinda sick of the TT Lego games and their repeating formula - I could go for a GTAesq Lego game.

Nintendo would first have to compete with the other two and actually innovate for that statement to be true.
I think they've accepted the fact that they don't compete with the other two and that's why they DO innovate. They're the first to bring split screen and motion to foray. They're trying something different again and I applaud them. When you hear that mobile and tablet gaming is eating away at the other two, Nintendo saw that as a potential opportunity. I will say, though, that if the Switch isn't successful that I wouldn't be surprised if this is the final Nintendo console.

Picked this game up on launch and have no regrets. I'm fucking HORRIBLE going against other pilots, but I can go against Titans with the best of them. Not sure if it's old age or a lack of playing a COD type game, but I just can't make out my targets until I'm eating their lead. Regardless, the Bounty Hunt and Attrition game modes are a fucking blast.

Grabbed the recent Battlefront for about $15 and played it for roughly an hour - after that it's never been out of its case. Guess I was hoping for more of a BF4 type experience set in the SW universe versus just a blah shooter.

Love me some Skyrim, but I refuse to pay $60 for a 5 year old game. I'll grab this when it's $40. Looking forward to playing Titanfall 2 later on today though!

If they ever bring streaming/remote play to Android then I may have to migrate away from my PS4. Between the backwards compatibility, the play anywhere, and the use of external drives, the XBone has really redeemed itself this generation.

Soooooooo, their olive branch for this nightmare consisting of a 10 year old game that currently sells for $40 is to release the DLC FOR FREE. Shouldn't the DLC have already come with the purchase for that price?

I've always thought the Vita was a great machine; I just wish Sony shared that sentiment. I use the hell out of the PS4 remote play (though the wifi chip is a bit lacking on it) and really enjoy a lot of the early games (I'll still play Wipeout from time-to-time).

I wonder if this means the rumored Red Dead remaster won't be coming. I hope not; I'd love to revisit this on the PS4 (though all these BC games for the XBone make me consider switching platforms).

Call me what you will, but I'm actually looking forward to this. I saw a lot of potential in the original and if they can pull an "Assassin's Creed 1 to 2" on this I think we'll all be happy. Just make a fun game, that's all we can ask though I will NOT be pre-ordering this one like I did the original.
