I'm the same way. SC Chaos Theory looked cool to me, until I found out it had Starforce. I lost all interest at that point.

I realize my unwillingness to deal with copy protection leads me to miss out on great games, but I only have so much money I can afford to spend on games, and there are plenty of very good options that don't have Starforce.

People say vote with your wallet, and I have.

I have to say that I've never had the problems you are describing while viewing this site. Occasionally I get a popup, and once in a while there is a nasty flash ad, but for the most part.. no problems, no distractions.

I use Firefox 1.5 though.. could that be making a difference?

lol

He definately set a new record for whining. He's going to quit a game he has loved for 5 years because Blizzard didnt include anything about 5 year old game at BlizCon. Seriously, Diablo II fans (and I include myself here) have absolutely nothing to complain about. Its a great game, and has been well supported.

Damn! I need to find these Golden Labs investors people and have them fund my exciting new product! I'll have my 5 year old cousin put together some blueprints (he loves drawing), and I'm guaranteed at least $1 million, I think. Now all I have to do is think about where I want to go on vacation.. I'm thinking something tropical.

I replied to some fucking goldfarmer who posted there Saturday evening...

Heh, sure enough. The goldfarmer posted on a bunch of 3 yr old threads, on Saturday. I was wondering why you responded to a post three years after the fact.

Happy?

Yes. And you didn't need to bring the board down to do it. Way to go.

Let me also say, this semester started Tuesday for me. We already have a test Monday. It is a review of stuff we should know, but it is 1/3rd of our freakin grade. My professor sucks big f’in time!

1/3 of grade for stuff you should already know? Thats nuts. Sounds like a prof that doesnt want students.

This news story is more than 3 years old. Trying to sneak in your last 3 posts before the board goes down on old stories so nobody notices?

This steam update describes the last update as 'overwhelmingly positive.' Apparently they are unaware of the mass number of CS:S players who were unable to use their favourites list while in game.

Anyone get in on the free weekend of guild wars yet? Anything I should know about the game when I go to play?

In fact, there is something you should know when you go play. Always bring a resurrection signet. Always. Your team will like you much better that way.

5 more posts nin. What happens in 5 posts, anyway?

Your comments and thought process is so bad....it is "Gigli bad'.

Ow! Come on.. Gigli bad? Thats taking it to a place we dont want to go, isnt it? Jaded, clueless, misguided.. These are all true. We didnt need to bring Gigli into this.

And I'm kind of interested in knowing how one empirically proves someone is not funny. I want numbers and equations.

Seriously - are you just trolling?

You had to ask?

As a Canadian I can honestly say that I look forward to the winter Olympics this year, but mostly its on account of the first-rate hockey that we are going to see. Beyond that... I can't really bring myself to care. I used to.

I really liked Heroes for HoMM2 and HoMM3. But four was just awful, and I dont think I'll be getting another HoMM game unless they really turn it around.

As one of the active members of the Blue's News guild, I'd say we're a pretty friendly bunch.

I'm usually able to help out on any mission where help is wanted, and I'm always up for running you wherever you want to go. A word of warning though: if you want a droks run be prepared for a bit of an ordeal. It may take a few attempts, but I can do it.. really.

Am I the only one who couldn't give a fuck less about PvP in this game?

PvP is great, if you give it a chance. Guild Wars PvP is incredibly deep, where your secondary class really matters. But nevertheless I enjoy PvE more, I'm just that type of player.

I havent gotten my moneys worth out of a game like I have out of Guild Wars. I'm getting the expansion, no question.

That's Guild Wars Chapter 2. Its an expansion pack, not a sequel.

The article seems to be mistaken.

This smells like a hoax. Ive never known a corporation to just give away money, simply to piss off a competitor.

For a single, amateur mapmaker, 6 months is more like it. And the quality of the map wont compare.

3 months for a team to create a map, have an art team go through and add the little touches, and then playtest the thing till it cant be playtested any more, have the mapper fix little unbalances, etc etc..

3 months isnt that bad.

All the same DoD:S should have been released with more than four maps, but I dont think people would dispute that.

As I understand it this is mostly about the silence of IW/Activision and their lack of community support. I didn't buy CoD2, partly because of my discontent with the way they handled the CoD1 community.

I mapped for CoD and CoD:UO, worked through their broken tools (the fact that you need to create a second directory named game with all the .pak files in order to get the compiler to work) and generally attempted to make the best of it. Community created tools bridged some of the gaps, but really the support was just lacking. Read this and you get a good feel for how the community feels about IW:
http://www.iwnation.com/Forums/index.php?showtopic=17426

The fact that this server revolt is even happening (and I hope they are successful) shows me I made the right decision and stayed away from CoD2.

She was in BloodRayne as well. I would think she would have learned her lesson after her first Uwe Boll film.
