I would like to see Doom 4 set on Earth. I would love to blow some monsters away in a shopping mall or any other place I can relate to. That is one of the reasons I liked half Life 2 so much. Familiar settings I can relate to. Doom 3 was average at best, but I will take a look at Doom 4 if they can make it interesting.

Why can't I have my ATI bundle version now? Its not like they willl be losing a sale to STEAM since I already own it. I'm not going to go to a store and buy another copy. Just give it to me NOW DAMMIT!

Does anyone know if using the /3GB boot.ini setting in XP will make any difference with Doom 3, or is this mainly for database applications and things like that?

Increases the size of the user process address space from 2 GB to 3 GB (and therefore reduces the size of system space from 2 GB to 1 GB). Giving virtual-memory- intensive applications such as database servers a larger address space can improve their performance. For an application to take advantage of this feature, however, two additional conditions must be met: the system must be running Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000 Advanced Server or Datacenter Server and the application .exe must be flagged as a 3-GB-aware application.

Do I have to use STEAM to get the copy that came bundled with my 9800? I am assuming so since all I have is a serial number and see no other way to get a copy of a CD. Which sucks, I would much rather have a CD.

No kidding. If you are still using Win98 you have bigger things to worry about that Doom 3!
