I've come to assume that the Game of the Year and Gold editions were the full, non-test product.

There goes that Zephalephelah again about how full, retail games are "mods" because they didn't use a whole new rendering engine and licensed an already robust, existing one instead.

Stop the presses! Someone is slamming a game they didn't like in the Blue's News comments section!

They design these MMORPGs to keep people in the game.

You don't say.

One of the best features - IMO - of Opera is the ability to perform search engine queries from the address bar. For example, if you want to search Google for "impse.cx" you could type sans quotes "g impse.cx" into the address bar. In Firefox you have a similar search menu/bar feature but you have to select the engine you want from a pull down menu and then type the search into the space next to it. It's inferior to the system in place with Opera; otherwise, I prefer Firefox in most every other way but just wish it had that feature of Opera available.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who has had Firefox grind his system to a crawl on more than one occassion. I still love the little rascal though!

An editor needs to scan that HL vs. HL2 article. It's ripe with errors!

Good grief: Companies run by thugs like those heading Starforce deserve whatever ruin is brought upon by themselves and their immature actions.

Is this game open source? If not should it be?

The game is not open source as its engine, the SOURCE engine featured in Half-Life 2, is still being licensed out to other developers (e.g. Ritual with Sin: Episodes and Valve with Half-Life 2: Aftermath and Team Fortress 2). If Activision, the publisher of [iloodlines, would simply release the SDK for the game a lot of the remaining issues with the game could be addressed properly. Having the source code as well would help but that won't happen for probably at least another five years.

Well that's just too bad. Everyone around here says "gif" when referring to GIF format files.

HoMM, HoMM2, HoMM3, HoMM4... H5oMM? Does Ubisoft have a problem with the naming convention or do they just like spicing things up?

The last Nvidia drivers messed something up with the rendering of outdoor scenes in Doom 3 (an error with alpha channel blending perhaps?). These drivers fix that.
