I guess you never heard of a consumer lawsuit against a manufacturer over a defective or misrepresentative product.

I sure haven't. Anyone want to buy a set of lawn Jarts? Oh, and it's all about safe mapping now.

OK Ritual.. I see your domain listing owner name change and raise you one www.ritualistic.com look up:

www.ritualistic.com = [ 69.17.116.118 ]
www.legionpharma.com = [ 69.17.116.124 ]

Hmmm.. same web host? Hurry, move it somewhere else! At least you didn't make it that obvious by keeping it at ritual.com. Yeah, we already know it was fake, but it's still fun to dig into it.

EDIT: They've announced the LegionPharma.com relationship on http://www.ritualistic.com in the featured image and latest news... very quick response

I don't know if this move is really going to help their sales. I'm guessing at this point the pissed off players are looking to open up the 32 player map for single player now while some are looking to warez the full version in retaliation (eh, they'd probably do it anyways but now they think they have an excuse).

What I don't like about it is they're taking away SERVERS. Fewer servers to play on come release day is BAD thing for both us and EA/DICE. These are severs that are paying for their own bandwidth too and most of the operators are not hackers or pirates. They're just some good guys that are taking the time to set up something cool for people to play. *shrug* It just dosesn't sit well to see this...

The high end PvE game is more loot dependent. Getting the best loot definitely helps with the encounters in molten core and with onyxia, but everything else from 1-60 isn't a big deal with standard gear. Another higher end instance/dungeon is going to be released that's casual friendly for a gamer who only has an hour or two to get some decent loot.

PvP has rewards of gear for those attain higher PvP ranks and this gear is more suited for PvP (higher stamina, hitpoints for casters). So, you don't necessarily want or need to PvE to PvP.. once you reach level 60. But even the the best loot won't make you a PvP god compared to someone with decent "blue" or even "green" items.

Regardless of what the real numbers are, it is the most successul MMORPG to date. I was there for the launch of UO, EQ, DAoC and other less popular MMOGs and the sheer number of servers available for WoW boggles the mind. I think it will be a while before another MMORPG takes the belt away from the champ. And that's what'll be needed before this games dies.. something better. Many of these MMORPG people need to be playing or at least subscribing to one MMORPG game to get their fix. I doubt any of the up and coming games out there like D&D online will have the same mass appeal that this warcraft/blizzard title offers.

If people are willing to pay 7 bucks a month for patches to a game that already costs 15 bucks a month to play, then companies should just get it over with and start charging 10 bucks to download their demo or beta.

I figured the reason for the EU's creation was to act as a counter to the big bad wolf.. the US of A. But they forgot it took a civil war to put that together.. and that was with groups of people who didn't have a couple thousand years of local bad blood. Now, well now the EU is just for the political payouts.

Ahhh how great it was to see those three countries join in one United Europe.

Was being the key word here. Now it's all about watching it fall apart. I didn't think it'd get as far as it did, as these countries are so different and prideful. That's the kind of transition you go through when you move to another country on the other side of the globe. It's a different way of life.

Um, did someone just act like moving from NY to Sweden was no big deal? Sweden has a latitude similar to Alaska.

And yeah, that contract definitely does sound one sided. But I guess when you're a free mod maker and are offered a piece of the big time development, you take whatever you can get and hope you don't get screwed. So much for hoping.

Bah. What kind of milk are you going to get by releasing patches to an existing product for free? Skim milk? So far you've only had to pay one time for one copy of Far Cry to obtain all the content available for it. I'd say there's more milking of Half Life 2 going on than Far Cry with all the different options available for $$$.
