I'm going to assume you haven't been paying attention to the news and what's been happening in Hong Kong.

You assume incorrectly.

Putting up a VPN is pretty simple these days. There are numerous articles on how to do so for beginners. Some routers, both mid and high end, already have VPN support built in right out of the box.

I am simply awed by this "innovation" from Valve.

We aren't. We are surprised/annoyed/disappointed US corporations are attempting to silence people who call the Chinese government "boorish dicks".

They're soulless, profit driven corporations. Why would anyone expect anything less more than that which will maximize their short term profits?

In the current day where 6TB spinning rust drives are inexpensive, I don't see that as a likely possible near future situation.

Superposition was actually pretty badass to watch. On a more serious note, the first thing I did after building this system and doing burn-in was install Total War Rome 2, crank everything up to max, and play. Smooth as laminar flow.

This looks like a mobile game, one in wherein my GPU would be 80% underutilized.

Still running 6 1080p monitors and will for the foreseeable future. I see zero point in upgrading to 4K until adaptive UI becomes commonplace instead of scaling UI.

Fewer living scooter riders = Fewer scooters dumped on sidewalks, in the middle of the street, or in parking lots.

I fail to see the problem here.

Correct, Mrs. Burrito is now happily gaming on the 1660Ti.
I now have an Asrock Taichi 5700XT and, yes, the Linux drivers* were a bit rocky. I'm currently running a modified beta build of Fedora 31 so I can have kernel 5.3 and mesa 19.2.

*AMD does offer drivers if you're running Ubuntu or a derivative thereof. However, I have too much self-respect to lower myself to running Ubuntu.

My system rulez. The GPU side was a bit rocky at first but I expected that. Unless AMD somehow does an about face and starts cratering again, I don't see why my next build won't also be an AMD based system. Now were Intel to compete on price and core count that would be different. But they haven't in more than a a decade (albeit with little incentive to prior to the launch of Ryzen) so I don't see them doing so in the future.

Quad9 is a good DNS server provider. I prefer CloudFlare, though, because their caches are updated more quickly.

Also, Firefox already supports DoH via CloudFlare. You can find out how to enable it here.
