I'm really looking forwards to SS2, especially if some of the huge enemies have special tactics that are required to take them down.

Ooo oooo!! Look at Mr. Big Words there wanting "tact-icks" in his Serious Sam shooters. Listen buddy, you will get copious ammounts of ammo. You then pick up a weapon, preferably one the size of telephone pole to dispense your copious amounts of ammo into screaming zombie hordes which number in the hundreds, mutated dogs, and perhaps if we're lucky, a 100 foot tall rendition of either William Shatner or the corpse of Johnny Carson.

That's all Serious Sam is, that's all it EVER NEEDS TO BE!! Tactics? We don't need no stinkin' tactics!! If you don't enjoy Serious Sam in co-op mode then unplug your computer and go get a degree in philosophy or some other nancy boy past time.

So you want a McCarthyist game? I'm sure there's something out there with some made up plot about the Ruskies threatening freedom/capitalism/all that is holy...

Don't bad mouth Bridgette Fonda in that movie. She walked around in only a leather jacket at one point. That is a very good thing.

Nope, that's how it originally showed up and that's how I left it.

I mean, oh my God a boss battle at the end of an RPG?!?! That's never happened before and I totally RUINED THE INTERNET FOREVER!

First, thanks for reading the review, I appreciate that.

I didn't feel like I did spoil the ending [secret text] Where you have to fight Kreia and her floating sabers.

All I simply stated was that the ending was rushed and there were many sub plots left open save for [more secret text] the one between the spunky red head chick and the angry Wookie which I felt was just tacked on since it didn't really have anything to do with the overall storyline.

Now Kreia and the other female Jedi were actually pretty interesting and I noted as such but the other characters just didn't let you get them fleshed out very well.

Plus, sadly, I Missed one of the parts for HK-47. AGHHHHHHHH! which means I have to go through the game again

That is nothing new, posting to a empty thread gives you some odd random message in it. Always done that, but it never seems to effect how it works so…*shrugs*

Well ok I had never seen that before before so.. ummm.. I'll just go away and hide again.

Why would a group try to follow in the footsteps of Sid Meier's Gettysburg which was pretty much damn near perfect.

Hi folks,
When I was trying to post a "Thanks blue for posting the link to my site" note under the "Thursdays game reviews" section, I noticed something pecuilar. When I clicked the "post a comment" link a post from the 24th of December showed up. Befuddled, I backed out then tried again. This time it showed a post from Dec. 25th. I hit refresh and the one from the 24th appeared again.

I went ahead and made a post and that seems to have taken care of it but I wanted to give a heads up.

My post doom3 was a repetitive tech demo - there is not much to be expected from another attempt at an already bankrupt single-player experience.

I edited your post. Cheers

I want to see how the squad system works in-game. Sounds like a nice addition to a game that could really use player organization. Especially with the BF2 maps appearing larger than the previous games.

You know i thought the exact same thing about Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory but then you realize that even with more squad based controls and commands it doesn't make the people on your team automatically fall into line. There's always the Rambo-esque types who will do their own thing no matter how much you plead with them to check the map or get such and such objective and do such and such a thing.

In-squad commands are useful only if people are willing to use them. It's a good step and a nice progression in the technology but it doesn't solve the problem that most people who play online games are idiots and no amount of video ram, 'net connection speed, or game patches will ever fix that.

And that's my grumpy old man rant for the day. You whipper snappers.

Here's all that matters to me:

60 degrees or so in Dallas right now. Damn this impossibly cold weather! Someone wake me when it gets into the mid-90s. Maybe I can start wearing short sleeves then.

Is the RSS live bookmarks supported on Bluesnews? I think that'd be a great feature for the site.

I apologize if this query has been posted previously.

Please don't besmirch my fond memories of Run-DMC like this. No, I didn't see this article. I'll just be over there listening to the Raising Hell album.

But.. hmm.. if they gave this an 80s theme then you could have turntable battles, breakdancing contests, and have an excuse to put massive gold chains and black fedoras and jumpsuits on your character. I don't think it would sell but just seeing that on my computer would be pretty good.
