Totally agree, they're just using her to get to those 13 year olds who are busy watching reruns of the Olson twins show

I'll gladly take my award presenters busty and brainless.

Sphinx I dunno man the AMD 64 is pretty sexy, but I just refuse to buy a CPU that's friggin expensive, that has millions of extra transistors for 64-bit functionality that nothing seems to be using yet.

Wait until the software market catches up with the hardware market.

well, I was responding to post #27 from The Truth in regards to what was on his system. My thought was he has a massively fast processor that can't really do high level graphics since it's being choked by that GeForce 2.

Personally I agree with you zag, 64-bit isn't the way to go. But I did it anyway

I haven't read about that yet, did they switch over to the Doom3 engine? If not it isn't news

yes actually. You go from a strategic map directly into first person where you can take on the roll of a spearman, archer or even the war elephant. If you die you quickly change over to the next unit all while also trying to control the rest of your legions. It's expected that no one will get past the first battle since when you're in first person mode you get no strategic map, no free range camera and no GUI interface. It's you, your sword (or tusks in the case of some elephants), and a shield.

They will update it, rebox it, and call it "Half-Life 2." This will fix many of the bugs associated with Half-Life

Whats the deal with these new cards coming out in PCI-Express configs???
Does that mean that they are inserted in to your PCI slots??
Could someone explain this to me? I mean isnt AGP like 10 times faster???? What gives....?

Google it up. Try this in the search on google: "pci express explained"

It's too much to explain here in a forum.

That'll teach me to buy early. I got a 9700 when they first came out, and boy am I regretting it now. How was I to know that my shiny expensive video card wouldn't even run Doom3?

You weren't and it probably will run it fine. Don't panic yet.

Bacon tastes good... porkchops taste good.

A sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie. I'll never know 'cause even if it did, I wouldn't eat the filthy motherfucker. Pigs sleep and root in shit. That's a filthy animal. I don't wanna eat nothin' that ain't got enough sense to disregard its own feces.
---

I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy, but they're definitely dirty. But a dog's got personality. And personality goes a long way.

So by that rationale, if a pig had a better personality, he's cease to be a filthy animal?

We'd have to be talkin' 'bout one motherfuckin' charmin' pig. It'd have to be the Cary Grant of pigs.

And here's another question to no one in particular. What does ToddH do exactly? He's a nice guy (met him at Quakecon 2002), but id's success or failure seems to be dependent on Carmack's brain not being damaged in some way shape or form. If Carmack were to bail it seems ToddH's ability to negotiate with Activision in regards to licensing and rights would be severely curtailed if not wiped out completely.

I'm not trying to badger him (as if he reads these forums which he probably doesn't) but I'm just throwing that question out there.

In an even more troubling sign for id's future, Carmack has begun to give indications that he's getting bored. Married since 2000, he's expecting his first child in August. And he has spent the past three years devoting 40 hours a week to Armadillo Aerospace, his four-year-old company that is working to develop customized rocket ships.

I should save my rant for my website but I'll just post it here. WTF does Carmack getting married and having a kid have to do with him being bored? "Oh he must be non-commital and bored since he's in love and making babies." Yeah, brilliant. And besides which, doesn't the game engine have to be developed long before the actual game can be made? Therefore, he's probably got some time to kill and do things like Armadillo Aerospace.

Look, if Carmack and id are making games like Doom3 when they're bored, I wonder what the hell they'd do if they were "inspired" and "focused." GG stupid article.

Which will sell less tickets/product? The movie or the game? I'm guessing the movie.

If they only had made this movie R-rating which would probably guarntee some naked writerhing of Halle around then it'd be good. But alas we only get the PG-13 cleavage shots. Which isn't a bad thing but still...

Point 1. How does a half page blurb about the music put the game any sooner in my hands? It doesn't. Besides, I'll probably turn off the music anyway. BAH!

Point 2. Don't even diss Hammer, yo. "Turn this Mutha Out" is still a jam.

We need a demo now before we all die!!!

I'm thinking if that happened, Homeland Security would get in a tizzy since the Internet would be brought to it's knees. "OMG TERRORISTS ARE DOWNLOADING EVUL!!! ORANGE ALERT!!"
