Frankly I dont know how anyone playing (other than a few hardcore MMOG geeks) has time to play these. The content in this game is so dense and time consuming that it would take me over a year @ 4 hours per day just to get through it all.

Hump,
At first I thought that too about EQ2 but I've found it to be pretty easy once you get the basics down. I've had it for about a month and have gotten to level 21 or so. The big emphasis is on grouping with others which gives you bonus XP towards reaching the next level.

Admittedly some quests are rather long but those longer quests reward your character justly with better gear or a good amount of coin.

Having only played one other MMO game briefly, I'm pleasantly surprised by EQ2.

Of course all bets are off when KoTOR2 comes out for the PC though

Spammers undeterred? Y'don't say! I thought the legislation would make all those spammers take a serious and thoughtful look at their business and go, "Gosh, this a'int right. By gum I'm going to change my ways, go door to door and sell Bibles! Hallejuiah!"

Durrr..

A curve so steep that not even they can FIX THE STUPID SQUALOR THAT EATS THIS GAME ALIVE. My cities are overrun with squalor and I can't stop it. Please for the love of Zeus/Athena/Mars (whoever) gods fix the squalor. It destroys this game near the end.

If you want a good Civil War simulation get Sid Meier's Gettysburg or Anitetam. Lots of fun to be had there.

Isn't the basic idea to read reviews before playing the game? So why on Earth would you fill your review with spoilers?

Well that's how the theory goes but since I was so late in writing my review I assumed anyone who was going to buy the game and is a hardcore gamer probably already has so I wouldn't be ruining too much. Plus, I could think of no other way to convey the truly awesome scripting done in this game, so examples were necessary and that means spoilers off the starboard bow.

The one thing I didn't mention in the review but Antielvis suggested was why I didn't discuss the hotness of the backside of Gordon's girlfriend. The best answer I could giev him was that I assumed everyone who visited a site like this were already doing that (if not worse). Also, I assumed you all had done what I had done: picked up cans and threw them at her butt. The cans fly away at nearly a 90 degree angle suggesting that the fight against the Combine doesn't just make a chick superhot, but also gives her buns of steel.

As to the issue about my site being down, I must apologize. The webhost gives me the space for free out of the kindess of his heart (or the fact that I bring him free beer and we've been best friends since college... nah.. it's the beer) and so that means my site is currently a bit of a guinea pig when his people try new things.

I don't know if I can talk about what they did but I think it's safe to say that sometimes synchornizing web servers doesn't always want to work.

Anyway, thanks for the feeback. I know the crowd that reads the site is small but it is appreciated.

Showing that the 1st Amendment is alive and well, Blue's even posts my reviews despite his desire for good content on this site.

Breakin' my heart with no link for my review. No love for Sphinx

Link to review removed after blue's clarification above in post #2.. you'll just have to come back tomorrow to read the review. No refunds if you don't like it!

What rating are they shooting for with his movie? Normally I don't care what rating a movie gets but if they try to make this thing PG-13 and thus unable to see the imps feast on some still screaming Marines then what's the point of even making this movie?

My buddies and I like to play Raven Shield on co-op mode. I personally don't see that many problems with the game but maybe we don't play it enough.

I will say that the server config was awfully tricky to get going but having a dedicated server is very nice indeed.

Definitely some difficult maps when you put the AI on elite. That University one gives us all sorts of headaches.

They may as well go after Freedom Force as well because the main character in that game is a hell of a lot like Captain America.

"For Justice!!"

ZigZang

They did. Or at least they went after the mod community by having all the Marvel characters removed. Fortunately, I had my The Thing mod before then Clobberin' Time.

Aghhh.. my site is down again though!!

"We're moving the site, Sphinx" the webmaster told me. "Things will be great, Sphinx. It's going to be on a clustered server on a fat pipe," they told me.

I weep.

Anyway, keep trying it and hopefully it'll get up and going again. *sigh*

I have already chomped through said bit and am now working on my arm. Tastes like geek.
