I really liked Q3A, loved playing 8 vs 8 RA3 on some big maps, especially when having a break from TDM and CTF matches.

First I've heard of CPL developing a game, I wonder if they'll make a new official "fps" every couple of years?

Thanks for the info Lars, I've been avoiding looking at the official forums to try to avoid storyline spoilers in any shape or form

I'm playing on D&D hardcore mode (area effect spells/abilities hurt friendlies) and a druid in my party always starts attacking the bard in my party after every fight because the bard uses an area effect bard skill.

The only way for sure to stop her attacking him is to let her and her animal companion kill him. It's damn annoying, I assume it's a bug because other members don't attack me (wiz) or my sorc when we maniacally start throwing fireballs into the midst of the battle.

Also another thing that is strange is when I chose the thief route in Neverwinter and all the things I did didn't make me gain any points in Chaotic or Evil alignment, which is ridiculous when you can gain points just be saying something in a conversation.

Some minor anoyances but I'm definately enjoying it so far.

The gap between games (Rome and Medieval 2) certainly doesn't seem to be the leap that was apparent between Medieval and Rome.

They're probably just milking the cow. The game is quality though, which is more than can be said for a lot of sequels.

Yeah but which one? A personal opinion score from a "reviewer" or a corporate sponsored boring review score?

Looks like if I get this it'll be just for online multiplayer gaming if the single player is an example of the single player campaign.

I was hoping for a Total War/Dark Crusade type map for single player, not a linear "rpg" story thing that's been done to death in countless 2nd rate games.

Dark Crusade has shown it is possible to add some storyline elements into each area whilst retaining grand stratergy battle entertainment. This Warhammer game seems as though it has forsaken the main reason people play Warhammer (the large scale battles) in favour of adding some horribly restrictive storyline map.

Dissapointed by the demo, will wait for reviews of the single player element. Although as I said I'll probably get it anyway just for the multiplayer battles - it's much cheaper and easier than playing it in real life anyway.

I don't see much point in posting a link to a vacuous preview for Warhammer 40k Dark Crusade dated 16th Oct when you could get the "facts" from a dozen or more recent reviews.

Especially when the same writer has posted a review of the game on the 28th Oct http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=69240

Cool, I just cancelled the pre-order I made for this when I ordered NWN 2 hoping there would be a demo so I could (legally) try before I buy.

edit: as soon as other sites host the demo for free

Ordered mine from Game in the UK, they usually get the software to you on the day of it's official Euro/UK release date - free delivery too.

As always, "buyer beware" you only have have to look at a few different online pc system retailers to see that Alienware stuff is overpriced, even more so than other full system retailers, apart from maybe savrow who only sell to people with more money than sense

Glad to see Call of Cthulu got a mention. I've been playing that recently and if you're a fan of Lovecraft's stories then your imagination can make that game a lot scarier than it probably is to people who don't have prior knowledge to the Lovecraft mythos.

Although I don't really know why F.E.A.R got a mention, the girl walking around was so overused it got very dull and of course it's just a rip off of the "scary child" from many Japanese horror films so even the first time you see her it's pretty weak.

Lol Jack Thompson makes himself even more of a comedy figure, excellent.

Also funny is when neiro's phone goes off and he legs it out of the coutroom rather than just switch it off/cancel the call.

Still managing to retain some excitement for Jade, although the longer it takes the tougher the competition has gotten.

but no doubt I'll throw my money your way before I get too engrossed in NWN 2 and the slew of mods that will be coming out.
