I got wiff of an email going around that proposed the 700 billion be given to all tax payers over 18. The email claims that would be about 200k per tax payer. If that is indeed true just think how many mortgages that would pay off and all the other debt. Then think about how that would lead to more spending. Seems logical to me as that would get me completely out of debt. I know the first thing I would do is go by a new car and a Samsung LN52A750! I've seen this e-mail floating around too... my question is, if it really is coming out of taxpayers' pockets, then are we really going to "see" any of that, or is that simply money that we would -not- spend over the (extraordinarily) long-term, provided non-passage of the bill?
But, if it indeed works out to 200K I could:
1. pay off any existing debts 2. buy myself a new LCD monitor (or two...) 3. Buy the apartment where I live... (music studio, here I come...)

Yesterday I was startled when the BlueTower began shaking to its foundation to the beat of a pounding coming from out front. Saruman: Together, my lord Sauron, we shall rule this BlueTower. The old world will burn in the fires of industry. Forests will fall. A new order will rise. We will drive the machine of war with the sword and the spear and the iron fist of the orc.
Blue, between dentistry and jackhammering (what's the difference, really?) it's a wonder you keep any semblance of sanity by now... how do you do it? |

MySpace's new ad network |

From the article, first seven words in the first paragraph:
MySpace, the social network turned music repository, Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought MySpace, at first, was a place for musicians to post their music and find each other?

Heh. We had the apartment steps redone with bluestone tops, all parking spots for all tenants properly leveled and paved (for those that were dirt spots), and we have an extended patio. All very nice.
Now, if only the interior of the apartment house/building could be worked on as easily...

Saw that vid (posted as "red light, green light") a few days ago, on cuteoverload.com... Scared the bejeezus out of me toward the end, though I knew it was coming. :-P

I used to love the chocolate pudding my grandmother (and subsequently, mother) made from scratch...
Still have all my teeth, though! Aside from my wisdom teeth, that is.
In any case, good luck with this iteration of Dr. Toothy, Blue!

Eh, looks like an interesting concept, but it looks boring if all you do is navigate a digestive track that has the same ten tubes over and over...

Being a Terrier owner and a KitH fan, I don't know how I've never seen that. I've never seen Kids in the Hall... but I just saw this video and it was genius. (Used to have three Airedales in the family, each at separate times, all named "Rex". Go figure.)

Hey guys,
Just got a nVidia 7900GT PCI-Express vid card to (at least attempt to) replace my old x700 ATI PCI-Express card.
I noticed that this has an onboard power connector; is this required at all for the card to run? (If so, that's another y-adapter I'll have to purchase...)
I'll have to get a DVI-VGA adapter at any rate, as there's no straight VGA output on that card - Dual-DVI only, and my old LCD is VGA only.. go figure.
Thanks in advance,

However, I would caution at overstating the "loss". We lose many times more lives every year just to car accidents. And people all over the world are dying in droves from essentially being poor.
(I'll probably get blased for that, but oh well...) No worries getting blasted from me ( ), and I actually understand what you're saying. It's just (IMHO) human nature to look at something that happens directly to one's self / own community / country / etc. with a much stronger reaction because of lack of detachment in terms of time or place; rather, it's much easier to relate an incident of that sort (car accidents, pandemic disease, and so on) when it happens to you, as opposed to the admittedly terrible happenings that occur elsewhere, thousands of miles away.
Not meaning to lessen the tragedy of any of those situations, locally or globally,

My first day working on university campus that day was cut short, for obvious reasons. It was quite surreal.
I'd ask "Why/how did this happen?" but I'm concerned that fringe-conspiracy theorists would come out of the woodwork.
Regardless, a sad day in US history, and for those familes and friends of lives lost.

Bah you guys.
We had our annual backyard luau today instead of Saturday (yesterday) as it was raining. And I have to say, it was a freaking blast. I'm a little warm and toasty from downing a couple beers, but yeah.... everything went smashingly well, from the volcano pumping out streamers to the palm trees, to the new location of our tiki bar on the extended patio.... much better than any football coverage!
*ducks and runs*
And to Enahs: Thanks!

On fill in the blank - 800/1000. I missed "Saving Private Ryan" (never saw it) and Conair (been a long time since I'd seen it last...).

Bah. I should schedule a trip to the dentist, seeing as I haven't been to one for a while - regardless of how well my teeth hold up, I have to agree about the "clean teeth feel."
On another note, picked up Microsoft FSX today. Oh boy is that thing a resource hug - but it sure looks purdy!
Anyone here multiplay that regularly? I wouldn't mind doing up a flight or two... though I just have a lowly Logitech Attack3 joystick...
Hopping into BF1942 (Desert Combat Final 0.7) now against a friend of mine... whee!
