That's some ugly statistics. Just imagine what it would look like if it had an overlay of other crimes. I think it's going to be bad in the Northern suburbs too this summer. Its been picking up for years up there. I have the added benefit of the Hospital security patrols and since I haven't heard any gunplay lately, I may even go for a bike ride. I gave it up for awhile, I had to ride like hell to uptown and then relax and ride around for a bit and ride like hell back home, good exercise though.

Batman, I've noticed a lot more police units in my area lately. Unmarked squads, undercover officers and the regular officers are rampaging through the neighborhoods. They must be doing a little spring cleaning or something. The other night I actually witnessed two officers walking down Chicago ave.! Now that takes some guts. Btw, I haven't heard a gunshot in quite awhile!

"Because of the public panic an investigation was launched but no curse was ever found on any of the Egyptian artifacts."

Well holy shit, I am glad of that.

It's high time that someone with serious intent investigates how the structures were built. Those pyramids are definitely something to behold, but the charade surrounding them has gone on far too long.

Obviously they're technically wonderful, but at the same time, humanity is reaching a point where we could dismantle one and re-assemble it for the purpose of figuring out this so called “engineering mystery”. We've taken pictures of things thousands of light years away with a SPACE TELESCOPE, yet apparently no one knows how to construct a large pyramid on earth. I suppose it’s like telling some kid that Santa doesn’t “really” exist; it ruins it. I’m for ruining it then, because crappy stories and the threat of a curse force me to.

Ok, I just read the stupid replies from that page that basically say the same thing, sorry. I should have read them first.

It is a bad idea or brilliant for sure. The car was braking after tossing the ball onto the ramp, allowing the ball to catch up with the vehicle, hit the roof and smash the rear window out. Nothing special about it except if they planned it on purpose, which they appear to have not; then they all just learned a basic physics lesson. The fact that they're surprised is apparently the fun part here, or not.

Hockey, Basketball and Curling with laptops eh? I need a supercheap laptop and they curl with them? They waste their time making a video and then waste bandwidth? I honestly don't know if it's a complete disregard for technology and energy consumption, or if they're pro "Shutdown Day", but I don't care anymore. Shutdown day has never existed and it never will and that's the end of it.

"There are two posters in all, with each retail location offering one exclusive poster each."

They would be better off offering both posters at each retail location, but one poster per purchase. They seem to be making this more "special" than it is, which makes the "collector" cards offer even funnier if I'm reading it right. You know how confusing special offers can be?

"one exclusive poster each."

Just having fun Evil. Not meant to bash the game, just the goofy "collector" cards that struck me as funny.

Way to go Dr.evil, Mr. righteous and accusatory. I guess calling yourself Dr.evil gives you a right. Having fun about something is off limits if it doesn't appeal.
Goodnight.

Lots of games have had this sort of marketing gimmick in the past, but jeez.

"There are two posters in all, with each retail location offering one exclusive poster each."

They're really going to make their "biggest fans" work their butt off to get everything, cards and all.

They put it up here first and now they're doing the northside. Not sure if it's active yet, but they shouldn't tell anyone if it is, for now. I've lived on both sides and the northside is many times worse in my opinion. I'm in the outer part of the 3rd precinct, I live a half block away from the Abbot Childrens Hospital on 26th/Columbus.

Batman; Over here on the south side of Mpls. they have the gunshot locating system and it seems to work really well. The police can respond within one minute when it detects a shot. I think the city will be bringing it to your neighborhood, but I’m not sure when, I think the north side is next. I must say, it’s kind of nice not to hear the regular Friday, Saturday night shots lately.

It looks fun, but I have a 2.4 Celeron and an Nvidia 5200. Hey, it plays doom3 and I have 1 gig of ram too so I can play most things just fine. The game crippled my machine, hehahaha. I'll play it in a few years ok. I like the non-linear concept though; being able to just go anywhere on the mountain. Maybe I should just get a new video card, hmm.

That is funny how the system seems to work in their favor. You rent the game and return it roughly 36 hours later, and it's rented again; that would come to around 4 store rentals a week. Is that a money maker?

When you buy the software I think you are buying a license to use it; therefore, downloading and running the software is illegal and called piracy. What's so hard to understand about it? Just download the demo and find out if you like the game or not.

8.5 million people paying into the system; with that kind of user base they could buy their own island or something and just start their own country.
