I think that's a valid comment; I'm not sure why everyone is jumping on you. Space combat games are definitely not in vogue, and it's a bit sad that Freespace 2 (1999) and I-War 2 (2001) are still pretty much state of the art.

"85/90% polished" is not the same thing as "85/90% complete". Considering that it'll be on shelves in 2 months, I'm pretty sure that my interpretation (i.e. the game is done and they are almost finished with the final polish) is correct.

This is easily the finest (PC) engine anyone has publicly demonstrated. Please bear that in mind before you start complaining.
Regarding physics, I think it's reasonable to assume that something more advanced than Havok will be available by the time UE3-driven games appear. I agree that it will be great when physical laws are more generally applied.
