I thought it was pretty good, too. Since the best I could come up with was "You first", Mr. Thompson gets the last word. I figured from his reply my initial comment got adequately subcutaneous, anyhow. And I got a bargain: his reply would have cost one of his clients $250 in billable time!

I had the following email exchange with attorney Jack Thompson this morning:

Me: "Dear Mr. Thompson,

Thank you for your efforts to bring the easily
accessed debauchery and perversion built into Sims 2
to the attention of the public.

Now, would you please do something about the nude Ken
& Barbie orgies going on in toy chests across the
country even as we write this? Thanks! "

Mr. Thompson's humbling response:

"No, I think my next cause will be court-ordered sterilization of idiots. Sign in, please."

Geez, Kobulb, your posts used to be funny in a perverse kinda "how stoopid can this guy be?" kinda way, but now you're just plain boring.

Please refer to Zeph's post #94 as an example of a genuine discussion, and contrast it to your simplistic, contrarian diatribes. You're like the old Monty Python sketch - "You're not arguing with me, you're just contradicting everything I say!" "No, I'm not!".

Zeph, I have to admit I took you for a troll, too, at first, but your last post was well-written, if a bit long-winded. And it was actually on the freakin topic, which is more than I can say for my post!

Alls I can say is I've preordered Doom 3 and I'll make my decision on it AFTER I've played it. All this speculation, hypothesizin' and tangential discussion can be interesting while we await the release, but the proof of the game is in the playing.

I was addicted to Allied Assault online for two years. Finally broke the addiction with UT2004 Onslaught - as someone else noted, the fun factor varies widely based on who's playing. As for dodging, I personally think it's undignified, but if it works for you, fine. Few things are more satisfying than blowing a bunny hoppin side dodger to bloody bits...of course, that's mainly because I'm able to do it so seldomly!

I've noticed this Kobulb fellow spews his unimaginative ramblings on LOTS of threads here. Maybe he needs a life and/or job and/or girlfriend and/or boyfriend and/or swift kick in the pants. It's sad that the only attention he gets is reactions to his stoopid posts. He's probably a very nice fellow!

It's interesting to see how the threads here so often start as genuine discussions but quickly digress into troll-infested flamer wars. When a thread gets as many posts as this one, you can bet there's one or more trollerama weenerboys alternately spewing insults and claiming they're merely defending themselves against imagined slights.

The thrust of this particular war seems to be: "Doom 3 will suck donkey" VS "How can you tell before it's out?", "'Cuz I can!" "No You can't!" "Oh, yeah?" "YEAH!" followed by a lot of boring posts filled with the most elaborate insults unimaginative, anonymous adolescents can concoct. The best part is when the weenerboys claim to be victims of the wrath they've incited.

Eventually the bickerbitches peter out (very small peters at that) and the grownups can continue their conversation. Here's some advice: don't take the troll bait, and they won't get the attention they're so transparently fishing for. And trollerama weenyboy bickerbitches (and you know who you are)? If you haven't anything nice to say, please don't say anything at all. Thanks!
