It is one of the best stories of all times in any games, period. I loved The Longest Journey, and Dreamfall simply blew me away. Action sequences are clunky and don't know why they are added because they serve no purpose, maybe to lure more console players. Puzzles are not too difficult but it doesn't matter, the story and the characters are some of the best I have ever witnessed, since Grim Fandango and The Longest Journey.

GameSpot 8.1, and Greg claimed it is the best story in years, only complain that game is a bit short.
GameSpy 5/5, may be they got too overboard.
1Up: 4/10! Wow. Can't make the mind at all after reading this strange review. How can scores of a game fluctuate so much, or this particular reviewer was smoking something while playing the game?

Bit disappointed with IGN's dreamfall review, but I don't trust them to be honest. At least they say that the story and dialogues are great, which was the best part of The Longest Journey. Looking forward to the GameSpot review. Greg Kasavin posted this in his blog, looks promising:

Funny visiting GameSpot! Banner on the top of their page says, "get it first on GameSpot", next is the countdown, still 30 minutes to go

Well on half-life2.de there are details from another German mag Gamestar, and it is disturbing:

No time to translate, but it comes down to the following criticism:

- The promised 1 hour interview with Gabe Newell was shortened to 15 minutes.

- The hands-on gameplay was strictly supervised by Valve personnel.

- When by chance one of the GS reporters 'made a move' that wasn't anticipated by Valve, the game crashed.

Edit: According to them "Late Summer" release could be 2005, because game looks unfinished.
