I played the 1st mission Pearl Harbor. I set everything to max. The first thing I noticed was the authentic posters. PC it isnt but ads to the feel of the game. I think it is a nice touch even if it could be considered racist in nature.
The planes models are pretty good. The field is your mixture of flat and elevated building. Overall gives a very good feeling to the battle field and frankly in the heat of things you wont notice it much if at all. The ocean with the shore line waves are also well done. Inconciquential I know but still nice to see some motion. Now we come to the battleships. With all hell breaking loose it set the tone very well both graphicly and auraly. Speaking of sound it all has a very full pallet of sound effects for a battle and with special note to the battleships thundering blasts. The wingmen can be annoying but eh! what can you do?
I played on arcade settings and found it enjoyable. The controls seemed (atleast by the demo) to be keyboard only and I did not see anywhere to remap the keys. Not sure if i was to busy to jump in and overlooked it or not.

Is this game a must have, no based on the demo HOWEVER just because it is not an absolute must have does not mean it is not a fun game. In fact it is quite fun and that is one of the best compliments you can give a game.


I posted this at Avault and I see taht others have found the control options. I seem to be coming down with the flu so I am not focusing too well but the last part still stands. it's fun.

The game has no releastion to the PS1 game. Based on teh description I would say it has more incommon with Air Support (Amiga) than pretty much anything else. My understanding is that it is coming along nicely and I think it has been pushed to the 1st part of 2006.
I have been really excited about this game since the leaked tech demo many moons ago and the latest trailers look damn good.

No, the IP for IG was gotten by CDV and they tried to change the game to a 4X. it was never meant to be a 4X game. Mithis shopped the game around and HDi picked it up and let Mithis finish the game the way they wanted it.
