This goes out of cheap binocular territory, but I have owned and loved a pair of Cannon Image Stabilization (12x36 IS II) binoculars for over 10 years now. I had a much cheaper Celestron pair (25x70?) with much greater magnification but they were not usable without a tripod or otherwise having them braced against something due to jitter. Highly recommend IS of some kind.
Tried to get one this morning -- no dice. Was able to see a button to add to cart on newegg, got one added to cart on evga, but sites were getting too crushed to get the transaction through.
I don't think there's any secret to the answer of "why now?" Why wouldn't it be okay for any particular event to cause somebody to try to help out when they hadn't before?
Loved the first one, glad there is a solid fan-base for this series. Never played the old x-com, but I got the impression this played more like it than the newer games.

What do you like about LotF over Dark Souls? I've never played it but really like all the Dark Souls games.
Dead Cells is really fun -- I've only put in a couple hours but for an EA title it's already in great shape. I hear that it's like Risk of Rain but I haven't played that one.
The exits on the puzzle under the guys holding the box? There's a little path on box itself that becomes available after 7-8 beams. Once you do that then the puzzle at the guys feet opens up and can be solved without other dependencies.
