I don't think there's any secret to the answer of "why now?" Why wouldn't it be okay for any particular event to cause somebody to try to help out when they hadn't before?

"put in" can be read as both present and past tense I believe

This is disappointing but not surprising. There will be a new Blizzard someday I hope.

Loved the first one, glad there is a solid fan-base for this series. Never played the old x-com, but I got the impression this played more like it than the newer games.

This game, like Lords of the Fallen, probably wipes the floor with Dark Souls. Fanbois will neber acknowledge this and probably be the source of some irrationally bad reviews, like with Lords of the Fallen.

What do you like about LotF over Dark Souls? I've never played it but really like all the Dark Souls games.

Dead Cells is really fun -- I've only put in a couple hours but for an EA title it's already in great shape. I hear that it's like Risk of Rain but I haven't played that one.

Don't have a strong opinion on Mark Kern myself but it looks like the article has been updated and seems a little milder than the link indicates.

The exits on the puzzle under the guys holding the box? There's a little path on box itself that becomes available after 7-8 beams. Once you do that then the puzzle at the guys feet opens up and can be solved without other dependencies.

On 1 being prime, "only divisible by 1 or itself" (what I remember hearing as a first definition of prime) seems to be satisfied by 1, "exactly 2 distinct divisors" doesn't. I don't know what benefits are gained by 1 not being prime other than the fundamental theorem of arithmetic being cleaner to state.

I'm going to give it a shot -- I was pretty impressed by google cardboard, so I don't think I'll be disappointed. My biggest concern is more about having enough content rather than the quality of the experience.

The RPI community is pretty large and helpful, and their overall mission is pretty noble.

Eben Upton indicated there won't be another major hardware upgrade like this for awhile (longer than between 2 and 3 anyway). I do hope the next version has some increases in external memory speed (usb 3/sata/etc) as well as more ram.

I liked the Atari 2600 ET game. Maybe because I hadn't seen the movie, but compared to most 2600 games it was pretty intricate/interesting.
