I think they owe me about $200.00 for all the various versions of Half-Life I've bought.

Why?

I'll second that question. I don't know why you would've spent 200 bucks on Half-Life; I only bought it once, then I played a lot of other shit with it for free for the next few years.

I don't know what the fuck you guys are on about. BF1942 and BF:V are practically the same.

Is it a worthy sequel

Nope. Not a terrible game, but for every "Oh, that's cool" moment, there's a "Man, that's lame" moment.

Pfft, Daikatana is too old, I think we should phase it out in favor of DX:IW in shitty-game jokes.

When will game makers begin to create their own IP again instead of making WW2 games?

Setting something in WW2 doesn't mean they aren't making their own IP. The Commandos games were cool, and had interesting and recognizable characters.

Every time a new version of this game comes out I give it a shot, but I've never found it enjoyable at all, and I'm the type who likes tactical shooters. It's always felt clumsy, bland, and boring to me, but it seems that many people are really into it. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?

I had no idea so much could be done with ordinary Ramen. I'll never look at one of those plain old noodly bricks the same way again.

A guy in my fraternity once deep fried a brick of Ramen noodles and ate it. He said it was one of the densest things he'd ever eaten. He failed out of school though.

Haven't we seen this geek test before? It was on metafilter yesterday, and I know I've encountered it before that. Personally, I think anyone who takes the time to finish it should automatically get 100%.

PS. We've all seen what happened in Afghanistan, fanatics never prevail. Think before you post and do a little research and you won't advertise your ignorance to the entire world.

What the fuck are you talking about? His post was clear and well-reasoned. I'm not sure I entirely agree, but he had good points. You came off all condescending while hardly making a point.

It's like somebody putting a sign on their door offering free turkey dinners and a person actually going in and complaining that they don't offer Chicken dinners.

Maybe, but what if someone offers a free turkey dinner and it gives you food poisoning? Hmmmm?

you love ww2, I don't.

One doesn't have to "love WW2" to appreciate a good mod. A good mod is a good mod. Bitching about settings is annoying because it's a setting and it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with how a game plays. I'd take quality over originality any day.

EDIT:
so if one has a different opinion here he has to leave the discussion? had a bad day today eh?

No, he said that if people are going to post like whiny children they should leave the discussion. Stop trying to be witty.
