Found this:

In Australia: Various states and territories in Australia adopted daylight saving time between 1968 and 1971, but Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia did not do so. In Western Australia, three referendums were held in 1975, 1984 and 1992 on the issue, with daylight saving being rejected each time.

In Sept. 2017 Alberta was looking to have a vote getting rid of it... not clear if they did or not..

I don't necessary doubt you... but I find that puzzling since I have never meet anyone who didn't want to get rid of it. Can you point to ballet results somewhere?

I don't really care if we stick to daylight-saving time or standard time -- JUST FUCKING PICK ONE AND STICK TO IT.

And in case you haven't seen it already, how is this still a thing?

Oh please. "They want to charge for an old game!" There was a demand for the game. No one is twisting your arm. If you don't want to play it, no one is forcing you. As far as the subscription model for any game... they should do the continual updates, fixes, and maintenance free of charge? You know what it takes to support multiple millions of players?

*sheesh* Millennials!

You know how most people have a film they consider a "guilty pleasure"? It's not an especially good film, barely worth watching once, let alone multiple times. But for some reason it strikes this particular person in just the right way, consequently they have watched it many, many times. (Grease 2 is one of mine )

That's kinda how I feel about the D3 story. Yeah, I realize it has major problems and really isn't well done... but for some reason it just doesn't bother me.

So, now it will be free to play... can I play it on a LAN without an Internet connection yet? (not really serious, but had to say it)

11. Re: World of Warcraft Classic and New WoW Expansion Announced Nov 3, 2017, 19:36 Mr. Tact

*meh*

I went back to WoW just before the current expansion (Legion) started, after having raided through most of Cata. before leaving -- about a 4 year absence. Neither the new expansion or the chance to go back to "classic" really grabs my attention much. I guess it is about time to take another break...

It will be interesting to see how successful/popular "classic" is...

Oh, and for the record -- I am not attempting to criticize Path of Exile. I like the game. And I've certainly given them more money than I have spent on D3, despite having purchased all the expansions.

Okay, yeah -- this last time they had a big content release, but they've been doing these leagues ever 3-4 months since they started four years ago. I guess if they come out with large content releases every 4 years... we'll see.

My guess would be he is attempting to mimic John Oliver who has a tendency to use it a bit too often...

Oh brother...

I was just listening to NPR, they were discussing recent sexual harassment issues/charges and specifically the latest ones concerning Kevin Spacey. And some clown said (paraphrased), "I think it is likely there will be serious lawsuits against Fox and Disney which could bring those corporations down."

Okay, I am not making any comment about any person's guilt or non-guilt in these cases. However, to think sexual harassment lawsuits will bring down multi-billion dollar corporations shows a serious disconnect from reality.

How come I never see anyone complaining about the 3-4 month "leagues" which Path of Exile has? Maybe I just missed it? Seems to be little difference from what D3 is doing...

And I've read that on average, runners have better joints than the general population (not that that's a very high bar. ).
I would expect that to be true, if running causes joint pain you don't do it. Hence, the people who do run have better joints...

At this point I'd say we won't, we seem to be perpetually a couple of weeks away from putting the house on the market. I've grown to realize that MrsBlue is actually being an obstruction at this point because of her misgivings about this all. So I've decided that the only way to keep this from making me crazy is to do my best to facilitate, but to go with the flow and not let it make me crazy. It'll all work out in the end.
Are her misgivings about the new job or just the prospect of having to move? Is she currently working remotely for her new job? Whatever the answers, your approach seems sound. Although I've literally never been the marrying type, it has always seemed to me the cliche "Happy wife, happy life." was good guidance.

Blue, are you going to get moved before the end of the year? Seems like the process has been taking a bit longer than you'd have thought...

I only jog in the summer, too hard on your joints to do for extended periods or at least it is for me, I'm pretty built now after a few years of lifting. I picked up cycling awhile ago and while expensive, its a fairly low impact activity that is fun.
I'm with you Verno. Even when I was running track in high school, the running seemed to be tough on my joints. I have long been convinced that for some people, not all but some, running as exercise does more damage to your body than it does good for it. A lower impact aerobic exercise seems a far better idea.

Okay, so it sounds like I did misread the tone in your posts, apologies as necessary.

To reiterate -- I believe nothing we have learned so far is enough to cause the GOP to impeach Trump. This is despite the fact that I personally believe Trump has already committed impeachable offenses.
