I've been watching "Ray Donovan" lately, just got into season three and I'm liking it so far.

Holy crap, I sure hope there's a lot more to this story and it's not just an example of Comcast being blatantly evil.
I'd bet dollars to doughnuts it is just Comcast being evil. Unfortunately as messed up as our legal system can be they might get away with it, if Luna doesn't have the resources for his own legal team. Could take years to reach a final decision...

Haha, I was thinking something similiar, "Hmm, good reason to never stay in the same place in the open for more than 5+ seconds if you are in a war zone."

Smartest set up I've ever seen was a guy in california when Bitcoin first came out, he set up one of these mining farms at a business lease that provided electricity included in the lease payment.
Indeed, that was smart. I heard about Bitcoin fairly early and spent some time considering converting some spare PCs to mining. But I got distracted / lost interest... too bad. It was early enough that if I had done that and simply held onto even the few coins I would have mined it would have been worth 10s if not 100s of thousands of dollars. Que sera sera...

12. Re: Diablo III Rise of the Necromancer Rises Next Week Jun 21, 2017, 11:41 Mr. Tact

On the one hand, $15 seems a bit cheesy for something that should have been in the game all along. On the other hand, at least they didn't go crazy and put a $40 or $60 price tag on it.

$15 is less than a steak dinner would cost -- So, it seems to me a reasonable question would be: Is playing a Necro in D3 going to be fun for longer than it would take you to eat a steak dinner (or insert you favorite $15 meal)?

Or more basically, do you play D3 and want to play a Necro? If you said yes to playing D3 and yes to wanting to play a Necro, then $15 is probably cheap entertainment.

4. Re: Daniel Day-Lewis Quits Acting- Oscar-Winner Leaving Hollywood. Jun 21, 2017, 11:30 Mr. Tact

I was a bit surprised when I looked Daniel Day-Lewis up in Wiki and saw he had only acted in about 20 films. He became very well known when he won his first Oscar for "My Left Foot" in 1989. Since then, he has only made 11 films, one of which is in production right now. That said he seemingly chose well seeing he won a total of three Best Actor Oscars. His performance in "Lincoln" was IMHO, awesome. Always a bit sad to see a good actor hang it up, but he is 60 now, so the roles will be limited. And it's difficult to begrudge him the desire to stop "working" when he has the means to.

Listen I enjoyed Animal House when I first saw it as much as anyone and I agree it is a cultural icon of film. However, I don't think I could call it "timeless". Have you seen it within, oh I don't know, the last 20 years? It isn't the worst example of it, but overall it hasn't aged well.

Reminds me of something a buddy from my USAF days used to say -- being from Missouri when asked about kids he'd say, "Hell, you throw a stone in most any schoolyard in Missouri you'll probably hit one of my kids."

Best wishes to all the Dads out there!

Hmm, could have sworn I read an article about how the show was filmed and then transferred to tape for television and either some part could not be remastered to HD or had simply been lost in the process. But you could be right, I might just be remembering it incorrectly. I don't feel like trying to find that article now...

One of the great tragedies of TV history is that the way Babylon 5 was made makes it impossible for a remastering to HD. *sigh*

From the article, "It is the first medical malpractice verdict in the immediate area in at least 25 years." Depending on what constitutes the "immediate area" that seems some what surprising. I'm guessing there have been other cases of medical malpractice during that time...

Haha, not for me it isn't. Although I have to say, I was a bit surprised by the verdict. I didn't read much about the case, but given the verdict I assume there was a lot more circumstantial evidence than I currently know about.
