Hard to believe it's only been 4.5 years since I stopped playing. Seems much longer than that..

LOL -- after the early games I am 4-5 in the pick 'em league and tied for the weekly lead.

The A-10 has long been under-appreciated by the top level military folks. The biggest complaint against them seems to be maintenance which is difficult because the last one was made 20 years ago. What they really need to do is engineer a slightly updated version and start rolling them off the line...

My dad did 20 years in the Army and Air Force, served in Korea. I could only take 7 years, 3 months, 10 days before I had to get out -- 1988-1995, during the original Iraq war. However, I was never in the war zone.

Interesting. Well, starting on the opposite side of the passive skill tree would be a reason to have a different character, but I understand your point.

Okay, let me ask this. Do you believe it would negatively impact PoE if players were allowed to re-spec their characters whenever they wanted to?

So, you are saying that after building to 35 or so, even if I did a good build but want to try a different one -- it somehow makes PoE a better game that the best way to do that is build another character to level 35? Not quite sure I follow that logic, but hey everyone is entitled to their opinion. *shrug*

Enjoying the Witch a bit more, but it really sucks when you find a skill you really like, but the only way you can change to that build is by restarting a new character or buying a large amount of passive refund points.
Yes, this is one of the main issues with PoE as far as I am concerned.

I have zero desire to play with the general public or even join a clan/guild/community for the sole purpose of unlocking Stash tabs, and it'd be a shame if they really try to force group play down peoples' throats just to get more inventory space.
I agree 100%. I am in a clan, but it is a small group (under a dozen) of IRL friends. About 95% of my play is solo with occasional runs with someone in my clan.

"We’re adding an additional gold-purchasable stash tab for all players with the Reaper of Souls expansion. If you’re concerned that’s not enough, don’t worry—we’re also adding a way for players to earn additional Stash tabs, up to a maximum of 10, through our Season Journey feature."

Hmm, I hope the "Season Journey feature" isn't too bothersome. Overall... about FREAKING time.

Mumbo-Jumbo requiring serious hip boots much like "String Theory."
Without a doubt String Theory is weird. It kind of feels like they are just doing "exotic" math to make things fit together. However, a friend told me once, that's why he likes it. It makes the math work, and math is pretty agnostic. I thought it was a good point, but the issue certainly requires additional study.

Yes, it is within the realm of possible. I did say I hoped I was wrong. But just the same, I'm taking the wait and see approach..

I'm going to have to apply the adage, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" to this one. I hope I'm wrong. The lack of progress in human exploration off this planet has been probably the greatest disappointment in science since the Apollo missions.

Anyone read the Time magazine article on fusion (Nov. 2nd issue)? It was clearly supposed to make you think it's only a matter of time, and possibly a lot less time than you think. But I came away thinking, "Uh. yeah -- probably not in my lifetime."

If you'd joined the USN, you would have been able to keep it.
Well, I had it in the USAF. Just had to shave it off for basic training(which probably would have applied in the Navy too), I grew it back immediately after basic. The second time was a odd situation involving an IG inspection which isn't worth explaining. But basically I shaved it off, and then immediately grew it back.
You should! Last year I went with the Tony Stark goatee, and my wife went bonkers for it.
Unfortunately my chin hair never really quite fills in -- oh well.
Every time I shaved down to a 'stache, it lasted just a few hours. I just looked way too much like a pedo. I couldn't stand it.
Yeah, or a 80's porn star. But at this point I know I would hate looking in the mirror without it. *shrug*

I've had a mustache since I could grow one, roughly since 1982. Since then it's been shaved off twice, both due to my service in the USAF. Over the years I've considered shaving it off several times just to do something different, but in the end I never have.

I have long assumed it made me look "old" and out of touch. You really don't see a lot of them around these days.
