You know I'm glad the kid made it, but there isn't anything necessarily life threatening about a pitchfork in the leg, is there? Seems like the risk of infection was more of a danger, seeing as it was covered in feces.

Her quote was nice, though.

Aargh, and yesterday my video card crapped out. The game is barely playable on this old laptop. Ahh well, maybe I'll get something done today.

I'm not being smarmy when I say that I honestly didn't realize this game still existed.

All coulda been fixed by having an NPC paladin perimeter around the vital parts of the city, like the auction house and bank. Then folks could see the effects of the zombie plague, but choose to stay in a safe zone. Heck, they coulda named all the paladins after characters from Romero flicks. It would have given that creepy feeling of being under siege in a zombie-infested world.

It's ridiculous that I can solo dragons, but a coupla stupid zombies tap me and I'm done. They don't even have to kill you. After a couple of hits, you have like 5 seconds to get cured or you turn into a zombie, which was fun the first time for about 5 minutes.

*shrug* Just gonna play Mount and Blade til this is over with. Oddly enough, zombies would be fun in that game. Aim for the head!

Hooray!

I hope they have virtual children handing out virtual porn just like in the real Las Vegas, and virtual old timers pulling the one armed bandit while smoking out of their tracheotomy holes. Ahhh, and the once-beautiful cocktail waitresses just hanging around with their shattered dreams until they can work up the courage to take a hot bath with a cold razor. It's like the house edge takes it's toll on everything, even those not gambling. Every time I'm forced to go there, I always come away thinking it's just an awful, depressing place.

I think we should chop off limbs for speeding or running red-lights, too!

THEY ARE BREAKING THE LAW!!11!!!~

I think it's hilarious that our entertainers our suing us. Soon, music will be back to how it was 100 years ago. The only thing we will lose is the corporate hit-machine. People who love music will make music, because there won't be enough money for someone like fucking Jessica Simpson to want to put out an album. Musicians will make money by performing.

I have to agree with this movie being kind of like Equilibrium. Kinda neat ideas, but with a few parts that were just laughably silly. I couldn't keep from laughing when they introduced the "Loom of Fate". If that doesn't sound pythonesque, I don't know what does. The other silliness was how they sort of twisted their arm around when shooting, like they they were throwing a curveball or something.

Wasn't Equilibrium the one with some kind of gun-fu or something. I just remember Christian Bale standing in one spot shooting all over the place, and I remember thinking to myself "hmm, this should be cool but it really looks silly".

I remember back in the 90s there was this game called Darklands, for the PC. I remember people freaking out about the fact that it took up more than 20 megs of hard drive space. After all, what could possibly take up all that space?

Anyone who looks at our government and decides that they are the only ones who should have access to firearms should have their heads examined. Keep in mind that in many cities and even small towns, the police ARE the gangsters.

Research carefully before touting any 'success' shown by the british taking away their citizens right to bear arms. Murder rate isn't everything.

I don't see how selling adult material to children is protected by the first amendment.

Am I misunderstanding something?

I'd been resisting Steam forever, so I thought I might give this a try.

I downloaded and installed Steam, set up an account, and clicked the button to download this demo.

After I accepted an enormous and unread EULA, I was served with an error message that this demo had "already been registered to a different account", or some such nonsense.

I immediately closed and uninstalled Steam. It's crap, just as I suspected.

I have never once gone into a Circuit City and found someone knowledgable or friendly. The Best Buy people seem friendly, although they can never help me find anything I am looking for.

One thing I've been wondering about Best Buy...how can they afford all that staff? It always seems like there are more employees than customers in there.

Reading these comments, I thought to myself that the music really couldn't be THAT bad, could it?

It is though; it really is unimaginably awful.

I don't really see the problem. Since when are goats exempt from being killed or eaten?

The one person said something about being upset that they killed a goat just to sell a few video games...would they have complained about the death of a cow if someone had just brought in McDonalds, instead?

McD's food is every bit as disgusting as a still warm dead goat. Is either one inhumane? If you are a vegan, perhaps. Or cattle.

One of the things that really bugged me, and this applies to ALL rpgs...

I decided to make a run as far north as possible, just to see what I could see, and from what I could tell, the environment was populated with basically higher level versions of the same crap I was fighting at lower levels. So instead of level 8 bears, it was level 30 bears or whatever. At one point I was running away from level 37 birds of some kind, but they weren't big birds or anything, they looked to be about the same size as a large crow or something, just apparently able to kill a full grown human. I'm not saying we should look for realism in fantasy worlds...but some things still need to apply. I don't know if this started with Japanese RPGs, with their "killer butterflies" and such, but I just can't get excited about fighting a level 60 Badger.

Yeah, yeah, I know first hand that badgers are mean little bastards, but I'd wager there isn't one in this world I couldn't just kick until it stopped breathing, and I don't have the biggest or most powerful arms in the world, but I'm pretty sure I could kill any crow I came across, level 37 or no, with my bare hands, let alone a longsword +5 vs. angry avians or wtf ever.

The other problem I had was that I ran all the way to Rivendell, and besides a couple pretty buildings, there wasn't crap else to do. I think frodo said a couple random things if you clicked on him, like "ooo I hope the gaffer found some topical ointment" or some such, but bilbo or gandalf wouldn't even speak. They just stare off into space.

I dunno, I guess I'm nitpicky. It's a shame because the environments really are beautiful, except the awful waterfalls. They look like something from N64 waveracer. But the rest is beautful...I almost misted up a bit the first time running through the shire.
