Yeah, and besides, if we TRULY wanted ultra-realistic graphics, we could just look outside the damn window...

That's way overexaggerating. Pre-90s? What the hell are you smoking? Have you even played WoW?

If you didn't realize it by now (don't know why you wouldn't though), WoW is not going for a realistic graphical approach. Instead it is highly stylized, with saturated, eye-grabbing colors, and an atmosphere that just feels epic and detailed.

To me, EQ2, while decent looking, ultimately fails at trying to create realistic graphics: it lacks detail, it lacks style, and it lacks color. Everything looks so drab. It also doesn't help that a game trying to be realistic has glaring problems with the anatomy of its human figures. Most of all, though, EQ2 graphics lack soul. That soul (and talent) was lost when most of the GOOD artists left SoE and joined Sigil.

"Actually, I know exactly what I'm talking about. And no, I won't keep my mouth you dumbass nazi. 1st amendment buddy, I'm entitled to my opinion even if you don't agree with it."

And the opinion we have of you is that you are a fucktard; something which we can all agree on.

"Artifact Entertainment, developers of the award-winning massively multiplayer online role-playing game “Horizons""...

Award-winning? Huh? The only possible award I could see Horizons getting is "coaster of the year".

"Regarding the future of Horizons, Mr. Tulumello said, “Tulga Games believes in the longevity and endurance of Horizons: The Empire of Istaria. This is tremendous asset, with great long-term player potential. Everyone involved wants to see Horizons continue to grow in the coming years and feels, quite simply, that it is wonderful game. Tulga Games, as a company, and I personally, are very proud to be associated with Horizons: Empire of Istaria.”

Of course they wouldn't say anything other than this, but it is hard not to laugh. Growth potential? With WoW and EQ2 on the, er, Horizon? I think not.

Exitium...you actually think WoW is going to fail because you have to pay to play? Wake up. The Korean user base (big time Blizzard fans) ALONE will make WoW more successful than Guild Wars will ever be. In the states, there are something like 250,000 preorders for WoW already. Can Guild Wars say the same? Most people I ask don't know what Guild Wars even IS.

What's wrong with those screenshots? Looks good to me--in fact I'd say they even look refreshing, especially after playing a lot of Doom 3 (not in any way to say Doom 3 graphics are bad, either, but they do get a bit repetitive.)

They are real-time shots. However, they aren't new. I saw the same screenshots almost a month ago.

Yeah, and these new Dungeon Siege II shots look hardly better than the original. What the hell is up with that?
